Tidal drops every few seconds on Highres - Very annoying bug!

I am among the owners of an Eversolo DMP-A6 since the end of November. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, with one big exception: Tidal! When the audio quality is set to HiRes (Max/Master) and the song is at 96khz or 192khz, the song pause 2 seconds every 3-4 seconds! I did factory reset, logged in and out multiple times from my Tidal account and same situation. Having in mind that listening to Tidal in highres was one of the main reasons for the purchase, I'm quite disappointed.
I made trial subscriptions to Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO and found that the highres audition works very well here. Likewise on Apple Music.
My own files from the internal SSD can be heard without problems at 192, 384 or 768 khz.
I specify that I subscribed to TIdal HighRes Plus and that it works very well on the iMac with Audirvana or om my iPhone with AirPods Pro.
As soon as I received the device, I updated it to firmware 1.2.30. So, I don’t know if the problem I'm reporting also existed in the previous firmware versions.. I have installed the 2 Alpha versions that followed and now I installed 1.2.40 Beta. The problem remained regardless of the firmware and that's why I decided to create a new post and not intervene in the topics dedicated to the various firmware variants. Especially since reading all the posts dedicated to the Eversolo DMP-A6 on this forum, I saw that there were other users who reported the same problem but received no response.
Same bug on Tidal Connect. I use last version of the Eversolo Control on iPone and iPad.
I’m connected to the network by wire and I have Gigabit Internet Subscription.
I would greatly appreciate your support to resolve this extremely annoying bug and be able to truly enjoy the Eversolo DMP-A6.
A Happy New Year 2024 to everyone!

It seems like a LAN issue to me... is your Eversolo on WiFi or wired connection?

    Wired Connection

Then it is definitely a buffering problem; if you confirm that in the very same moment the same track plays with no hiccups on your phone or PC, I would suggest a poor implementation (it's relatively recent, BTW) of the hi-res protocol in the Eversolo app. It could be fixed with an update, but then again, someone must tell the devs, as they might not be around here 24/7...

I have an Eversolo DMP-A8 and do have the same problems, not always but very often. Especially with hires 24bit/96khz and above.
I have a wired connection too.
In "Audio Settings" I have tried with "Eversolo Original Sampling-Rate Audio Engine" switching on and off already, but same problem.

Glitches in streaming services depend, generally, on the quality of your internet connection (wired or wireless, in your house, makes little to no difference...).
OR problems with the servers themselves.
Can you stream from Tidal, at the same bitdepth/samplerate, from another device (say a laptop, or a phone/tablet), in your home, with the same internet connection, and not experience such problems?
If YES -> the problem is - most probably - with the Eversolo device
If NO -> the problem is with Tidal service

Due to the fact that Tidal is abandoning MQA and converting files to Flack, there are interruptions on their servers, hence the stuttering during playback, you need to wait it out and be patient.

I strongly hope they are not doing any conversion from MQA; but rather get new, pure FLAC files from the provider...

It doesn't matter what they do with the files, just that the downtime is caused by work on their servers.

NO NO NO NO. It DOES matter, as MQA is a lossy format, while FLAC isn't. Then if you convert from MQA to FLAC, you just end up with a lossy stream into a (made for) lossless container; which is not exactly what you want if you actually search hi-res...

The discussion takes place during breaks in Tidal's operation and not from the files it uses. So the discussion is unnecessary and drawing conclusions about which format is better.

You are right in the terms of the interruption causes.
Not on the rest. I believe correct information is mandatory.
It's not a matter of which FORMAT is better, but about QUALITY. It is completely another thing, which you most probably don't consider important.
Anyway, discussion closed, as you please.

I have A8, just bought it, it has version 1.4.01 installed and I have absolutely the same issue! Hi res tracks freezes every other second and I can't listen to hi res at all! This is happens both with Tidal and Apple music. I have played same tracks on my iphone and ipad an no issues at all. Then I decided to check traffic in real time, so I opened my Asus router traffic analyzer and played hi res tracks from Eversolo A8, straight I found that there is almost ZERO traffic while playing hi res tracks from Tidal and Apple Music. I switched to my ipad and played the same hi res tracks and traffic analyzer showed huge traffic like 50-60mbps. So there is deffinitely an issue with hi res implementation on Ecversolo streamers. I switched from Aurender where I never had such issues and now I am so dissapointed! Looking into how I can address this issue to the developers. Anyone know how to do it, please help

Hi, I have forward the issue to our tech team to analyze. At the same time, may I ask if you have tried playing the same song locally on Eversolo to see if the issue persist?

Thank you ! Locally - you mean download song from either AM or Tidal and play it from A8 internal storage ?

If you have another local files, you can also try them. Choose the same quality file as the song you play on AM or Tidal.

Btw, which Apple Music you are using? Could you show me a screen shot or it?

Oh, I already played a lot of other local files located on my NAS Synology and also from the 128gb stick attached to the back of A8. The are no issues at all with playing local files . I even tried DSD64 and DSD256 tracks. All good and no freezes. The issue is only with streaming hires . Non hi res tracks like 16/44 or even 24/44 are played without any freezes.

I am using the app which I installed from the Eversolo internal store directly on the unit itself. Please see attached picture. IMG_5821.jpeg
