Same happens here, tried a couple of mixcloud apk versions, some crashed instantly other by the log in process with the msg "this due to a technical error" please make it working again.
It would be really nice to have the ability to scrobble from Eversolo to Last.FM and possible integration. Currently, the native Last.FM client for Android does not perform scrobbling. The same story applies to the alternative client Pano Scrobbler.
I recently updated the Eversolo Control app to version 1.14.23 and noticed that the Tidal integration doesn't show my stuff anymore, like recently played albums, my forgotten favourites and suggested new albums. It now looks like a generic or completely new tidal account. No personalization or whatsoever . I really liked the Tidal integration because it came close to the original Tidal app with the personalized touch, but now it has become too generic for my taste. Is this a bug or a deliberate choice?
Hello, I regularly review the music genres in the library (viewing the SSD over the network on my PC) to make them consistent, and these revisions are most often ignored by the A8, which really annoys me. Is this a bug? Probably.
Thanx for reply, sorry but it sounds not logic cause before the same apk was working fine with an older firmware, so the apk can run with dmp-a6, will try it with the newest v1.4.32 ... hope dies last
Hopefully this is a bug and gets fixed soon. Totally ruins the usability of the tidal integration for me
Hi, Can you say exactly how you view the contents of your M.2 SSD on your PC please? The 192.168.xx:9587 interface is a complete joke! Do you use the SMB method (method 2), which I seem completely unable to get to work (I'm quite a competent PC user/builder btw, so not a noob)? I input the IP address into my browser, after the \\ but nothing happens! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You’re missing a number in your example. IP4 addresses are made up of 4 sets of numbers. It works fine for me. If your on windows then it will require you to set password for the smb share as windows doesn’t allow anonymous users any more. You need to use SMB to browse the hdd, the web interface is really just for uploading to music folder.
Yes, I missed out the .0 - But I didn't miss that out when I tried to connect. I am on Windoze (W11 Pro), can you tell me where to actually go, to set a PW please? How/where is a SAMBA server? Do I install/create one? I've trawled Google, and it's as clear as mud:-( Exactly HOW do I 'use' SMB to browse the M.2? So, as Eversolo suggests, one just types into a browser \\192.168.0.xx (my address) and there you go, but nothing happens, at all! I use Firefox, but I've tried Edge, with the same result, except Edge says 'file not found', so nothing. I've set SMB access within the 'Turn Windose Features on/off", and checked 'SMB 1.0 File Sharing Support' box (which someone has suggested it should NOT be checked due to security hazzards?), but it's made no difference. Is there a 'samba' server I need to install?
SMB connection do not - usually - work like that. But if you insist in using your browser to see/use a SMB share, have at least the courtesy of entering the IP : PORT address AFTER "smb://" (without double quotes, of course...) This may or may not work, depending on the browser (which will query the server, and present you with a more or less working html representation of the contents of the share itself...)
It (the smb://) apples also for Windows Explorer... Moreover, I seem to remember that: 1. Windows forces you to have SMB connections with username + password (that is: guest + no password is not - or, at least, no longer - supported) 2. You should probably enable SMBV1 protocol (there is a thread in this forum about it, recently being posted to, try searching - it has hints about how to enable it, in Win11)
No windows is \\192.168.1.1 username is root and password is whatever you decide to put it as in the settings it’s blank by default which is will make Windows balk at it. No idea if it’s SMB is higher than smb1 I would hope so given how out of date and insecure it is.
As I said... but it can be fixed, of course, managing a proper username + password, so problem solved. This is what I'm concerned the most... it looks like you HAVE TO enable it. IMHO all this security bla-bla-bla is a bit of nonsense in you home LAN, but...
Another issue, when playing music from attached flash drive or Synology NAS, internal payer does not load playing queue and album cover. It also misses DSP , VU and Spectrum icons on the top. Looks like internal player interface is bugged and not properly loading very often. Only after 3-4 songs from the same album it finally loads up. But then I change to another album or even song in the same album and all starts again.
Hello MarkD, something is telling me I should not get involved in this discussion, but we usually are our own. Worst enemy , However, I do concur with your findings the output level my A8 does absolutely without question suffer from a very weak gain output Also, the subject pertaining to this issue has been brought up and talked about so many times I lost count however, in my particular situation, it really doesn’t affect me to a certain degree, due to using a line tube HATTOR audio buffer/ stage using 2X 6sn7’s with approximately a 10 DB boost output I have the A8 Operating in the bypass output mode, I have also employed this buffer stage long before I acquired the A8, but I absolutely do agree with your findings, I have been involved in this so-called hobby since the 1970s the A8 is a wonderful unit for all intense and purposes, other than the very weak output level I don’t care who tested what through what or how why it when they all come off with all the these technical measurements and findings, the factual reality of the matter stands , it has poor output drive, but like I stated above, it does not really apply to me due to the way that I am implementing the unit , now let’s get ready for all the comments of who said what and who measured what and who did what well I don’t know what they were doing, but I know all my testing equipment on my bench testing area is pretty much on point … if it were something that I could not rectify or work around. I would just move on from the unit . This is ridiculous not too many years ago, I would not have believed some of the comments, coverups and excuses that people exercise here, but you must keep in mind. A lot of these folks are salesman, No piece of gear is absolutely perfect. I like the A8, works for me !
