Quick question ,at the 2 min 50 ish mark when your scrolling down the resolution settings , on the far right it shows your CURRENT resolution ,which is 2160p at 60hz SDR which is not going to work well for DV and tells me something isnt set correctly Both the sheild and appletv are showing HDr as far as i could see

so to me colours would be off simple SDR vs HDR

The resolution is set to auto I have also tried to set the resolution to a fixed setting. It still does not work if you were to listen to what I'm saying in the video.

set ress to 23.996 since most movies will be at that ress ,thus reducing any hdmi switching issues
Set playback auto framerate to Match frame rate only
    Colour setting 4k 23-30 set to YUV444

I just checked and when im in settings /display /Ress i get it showing SDR 2160p at 24hz so i guess its SDR for the setting UI ?

see how thou settings work for Avatar Hit the OK/pause on zidoo remote while playing to double check settings are what you set

Also wouldnt the ATV and sheild be showing the streaming version vs Disc version on the Zidoo ? so clours will be different since streamed DV is different than disc DV ie cut down for bandwidth etc ,which could also be the stutter issue maybe ? ie 30g ish source vs 80-90 gig source means huge difference in data transfer .If lan /hdmi cable isnt full spec it could be throttling the Disc version bandwidth .Just a guess

I just tried it again and of course it didn't work because I've been trying it at least 15 times. I've tried all the settings all the different variables that was shocking me it is that nobody in this forum just says no it is something wrong with the player. there's something wrong with the software it needs to be fixed. Everybody's coming with 1100 different excuses this is beyond belief !!!

again thou , YOU are only person on the forum thats having this issue ,so obviously none of us are saying theres something wrong with the player

Auto for things like Ress are messy .because theres too many Ress and size files out their meaning forced HDMI switching on almost every file ,which can lead to lose of EDID settings unless Custom EDID has been set ( a minor rare bug carried over from the Pro range)

When you play say Avatar and hit OK button to pause it ,it will bring up current player settings popup

    what does that show ?

i heard the audio pause 2 x during playback ,and what to me looks like more of an SDR image vs DV but too small to notice any vid stutter
