No, not necessary at all.

Some will always hard power off and on again - to be honest I never bother, but it does make sense to do that.

DTS-HD still has sync issue as far as I can see.

 

Again the some bug in firmware as in previous versions with playing PAL movies. Movie in PAL, HD resolution (1920x1080), 25fps INTERLACED. Video output is again 25Hz, and not 50Hz. All my records with these parameters are unviewable. Unbelievable shuttering of video. It was OK in very first version of firmware, directly received player from zidoo. Interlaced video 25fps, must to have video output 50Hz. When it is 25fps PROGRESSIVE, than it is correct, and video output must to be 25 Hz. I have ZIDOO 3000 Pro. Markswift2003 do it with this something please, because now I have to use my old zidoo z10pro. Sorry but it is unbelievable.

What about true hd and the other codecs? Are they still in sync?

Also if someone can test DV passthrough Auto mode and see if it still stutters please?

To be honest I watched 2 entire movies in passthrough auto tuesday and it barely stuttered to my surprise but it did just not very often at all.

 

SDR playback is now working well, with color correction applied. HDR and Dolby Vision also look better, and it seems like color corrections have been made there too. I'll monitor it over the next few days, as Zidoo devices sometimes start acting strangely after updates or factory resets. Hopefully, it stays stable this time.

SDR, HDR, and Dolby Vision all have improved color quality. Previously, some movies had severe stuttering; now there's still some, but it's less now. Hopefully, this will be fully resolved in a future update.

 

Lovely list of fixes. Curious about the dvd ones. Will try it when i get home.

 

I did not have sync issue with True-HD - just DTS.

 

Odd - I have a reliable source whose DTS sync problems were cured with this release.
