v1.1.70 Beta version for Z9X 8K/Z30 PRO/Z3000 PRO/UHD8000

No success with deleting system app data and even a full factory reset (to make sure the vanilla Jellyfin Android TV client is not the root cause). I also tried an fully empty library folder w/o any movie.
It's a bug in the Zidoo Jellyfin app. The vanilla Android TV client works just fine as well as Jellyfin on many other devices. Hope Zidoo can fix this issue.

 

I have one on both my Zidoo and ATV as both cause issues without.

 

You can send to service@zidoo.tv but CEC itself is buggy as hell. It's the work of the devil and should never be used.

 

What do you see on the front page?

The front page looks reasonable:
- My Media (movies, series, collections etc. incl. preview thumbnails)
- My favorites (movies, series, collections etc.)
- Newest movies (incl. thumbnails)
- Newest series (incl. thumbnails)
- top right: search icon, gear symbol, user name

Everything seems to work besides the most important media libraries at the top. Also the favorite stuff works.

In the screenshot I uploaded recently, the blue thing at the top is something like a button. There are 2 more buttons at the right side of it between I can toggle. But they don't do anything (I guess these are the buttons supposed to be "Movies", "Collections", "Genres" according to screenshots I saw in for forum).

 

@Markswift2003 Finally, found what causes the defect. Jellyfin breaks when Zidoos system language is set to "german". English (United States) works.

Ok, it seems a few of the languages cause this - I tested German, Polish, Spanish, French and Dutch and only German and Polish caused this problem - now we can replicate I'll put this is in the next bug report.

Also something interesting I just noticed (not related to jellyfin and the language): the ISO playback via wifi work just fine now, too. I already enabled my preferred system settings again. Besides all the resets I made with the device, everything should be similar to yesterday. It feels like firmware updates don't show their full potential sometimes unless a factory reset is performed. There are many reports about people still having issues with certain aspects that are supposed to be fixed according to the changelog. The same happened to me now. Anyway, I am quite happy now

Frankly speaking I don't use it in any of my three boxes but it's well known many users are suffering these "acts of the evil".

 

I had same stuttering and film skipping and forward issues right after fw update. But after couple of factory reset it resolved and got stuck with over sharpness and weord color issues even after uploading Edid in customs.
1.1.7 is worse update i guess

 

Wait!!!.. someone is happy about something.. crazy times..

 

Maybe a Christmas FW with online trailer today? The problem should supposedly already be fixed.

With fw v1.60 the UHD8000 became Roon Ready. Has anyone with a Zidoo Z9X 8K managed to get bit perfect audio with Roon?
