Oh ok. That is weird. I have iso plat better than folders. If you mount them on a windows pc they work?
    And is the encryption removed?

    I have to try it

  3. I'm still on from 1.1.47.. As new update did not appear in my Z9x 8k.

I do have an issue with from 1.1.47 and wk daring if others do Aswell..

Almost every file I played via SMB (using everything from E. by, to zidoo poster wall, to file explorer) the file will okay for abkit 10 min. then stop and return back to file list..

I have been playing mostly music videos etc in mp4 avi, and I swear some MKV files did Aswell..

If others had this in from 1.1.47, it the new firmware fixed for this issues..

It sucks being kicked out aprox every 10 min

Does anyone here listen to multichannel music on their Zidoo z9X 8K? My BD-A ripped to mkv files work great in HT5, but I'd like to have lossless audio versions to play in the Music Player.

I have read a number of threads in this forum reporting that multichannel music playback in Zidoo devices is inconsistent at best, and I wondered if that is still the case with the newer players. From what I've read, Zidoo struggles with a number of audio file types.

If I want to extract lossless audio from mkv, what file type(s) will the Music Player handle correctly? MKA? M4A? FLAC? Something else?

With MP8, I have tested multichannel FLAC (up to 24/192), AAC (M4A), and WAV. All have played without any issues.

I know there are other things of importance, but it would be so nice if the could speed up the smb speed.

Tested MCH each f/w and so far they have it working in the 8k series ,its just the pro range thats still having mch issues

dsf iso mch , dsd mch ,flac ,m4a (atmos) all working fine at the 176khz 6ch pcm ( the 5000 8k can also do mch out on hdmi so supports native mch dsd )

only thing not working in mch we can find so far is the ability to swap from 6ch to the 2ch in MCH dsd isos

and lyrics is not working too

Are the people who had A/V Sync issues still have them? So far all my TrueHD movies are perfectly in sync without using the new passthrough compatibility option.

For DTS-HD it is less clear... seems like some are in sync some are not but it's not clear like it was with truehd where it was clearly out of sync before and now it's perfect.

Quite like this 1.1.60 so far and the player is pretty much perfect for my usage now except this possible DTS-HD sync problem. I need to listen to more entire movies to confirm.

I got some frame skips in some truehd movies but it seems to be after seeking and not often even then. Will report if I see it more.

Without using the new options, everything now seems in sync with 0 delay comp. DTS-HD, TrueHD, LPCM, DD are all OK now. Before on 1.1.47, lossless codecs required 175ms, but LPCM and DD required 0.

Yes! Sometimes it gets stuck and I have to manually cancel and restart the scrapping.

You are absolutely right and this should be fixed. It worked until the previous FW

If you have a receiver or processor, the HDMI out becomes in common for all your sources, so you sometimes need to do some brightness or contrast tuning from the source during calibration. And this is exactly my case where I need to give a +1 to brightness on Zidoo to have the black level correct on my OLED TV (and on OLED TVs it is actually better never to touch the default luminance levels... so if needed you have to do that from the source).

The audio synchronization problem disappeared for me too with the new update, without using the new setting. Also, Mark, do you remember a few weeks ago I was telling you about having interlacing issues with some 576i videos at 25 fps? Well, with the new update this problem has also been solved.
