My OLED TV is from 2022. I don't notice much difference between auto and forced settings, but the DV colors, which were too warm and had a yellowish tint, have been resolved.

However, there's an issue with the HDMI handshake. I often experience choppy playback, and I need to power off both the TV and my Zidoo device for a while to fix it. I hope this will be addressed in a future update.

HDR10+ videos don't play smoothly, but they work fine when set to 12-bit 4:4:4. I've noticed that all my other devices default to 12-bit 4:4:4 in auto mode, but for some reason, Zidoo uses 10-bit. My UHD is very smooth on 12 4:4:4.

I discovered a new bug in this version. If the interface is set to HDR and you stop a film and come back to the interface the interface flickers and crashes. You have to restart the box. I changed to SDR and the mistake stays away.

If the Dolby Block supports DMv4.x (or above) then it supports CMv.4.0.

If it's DMv3.x or DMv2.x then it won't - as I say, generally on for TVs after 2020 (and always ok if you just choose the original TV Led).

I have to say that since I set "TV-led Bypass Auto" the quality has improved significantly.

I'm in the middle of testing - I went straight down the bottom to CMv.4.0 - will be trying middle for diddle soon :)

@enry184 I have to agree with you once more - TV-Led Bypass Auto produces an even better PQ than both std TV-Led or CMv.4.0. Tested on the 1969 production of Paint Your Wagon with Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood. Really sharper and more dynamic PQ imho.

    Now I have 2 questions please: -
    1. How can I toggle the film between it and Settings ? There's a Settings Button on my V12 Remote (top-left in the "Learning Area) but don't know how to use it

    2. How do I take screenshots via the Zidoo's output from my TV ?

I guess mine supports it. .
Vendor-Specific Video Data Block (Dolby), OUI 00-D0-46:
    Version: 2 (12 bytes)
    Supports YUV422 12 bit
    DM Version: 4.x

    I used this https://people.freedesktop.org/~imirkin/edid-decode/

Are you reffering to a screen shot of what displayed on the screen using the Zidoo remote
As in you assining colured buttons ( old remote control had them ) on the remote in Zidoo settings section ?

Yes, the difference by setting TV-LED Bypass Auto is really noticeable, I would never have expected it. I am very happy with my UHD8000, everything works perfectly and I have no problems whatsoever, even the Blu-ray menu playback has improved a lot. As for the screens you have two options:

    1. Using the hotkeys as in the images I attached.

    2. Taking the screenshot directly from your smartphone using the cast function present in the Zidoo Controller app

    I hope I was helpful.

Is it possible for Zidoo Z9x 8k to play a HDR10+ movie on a LG G4 in HDR10+ and not HDR10? Everytime I tried it falls back to HDR10.

G4 doesn't support HDR10+. So it will always fall back to HDR10.

yes, for my part I always have the synchronization problem whether with Dolby Digital, dts hd, or true hd atmos, sometimes oddly not on atmos, then another day yes it comes back....
I don't use the new option but I still set a delay of 125 ms, which corresponds to almost all the delays (DD, dtshd, atmos)
It's incredible that we still face a problem like this, never encountered on other zidoo... (for my part)
Can we expect a real update so we can play all our movies correctly? the least of things in fact for a mulmimedia reader, it's the basis...
On the other hand, I notice that films in 24hz are perfectly fluid, in 23.976 it is less fluid and we observe mini jerks sometimes.

oo that says alot, sometimes i feelt like is this just in my mind or is it out of sync? and the dif from 24 to 23.976 must be in the that region that its just noticeable.

doesnt happen all the time, and sometime restarting helps and sometimes it doesnt.
