My connections are: HDMI Main (video) > Panasonic JZ2000 TV; HDMI audio only > AVR Marantz Cinema 50. I use HDMI 2.1 AudioQuest Vodka 48 cables and the HDMI inputs on the TV and the Marantz are 2.1. Yet I encounter the same problems as other users. I don't think it depends only on the compatibility of the systems we have with the Zidoo.

For last firmware a fix for "refresh metadata" was listed.

    45. Improved the refresh function for Poster Wall details.

I'm on the latest version and cannot get this to work. If I replace a movie file with an updated version i.e. different audio and video formats, the posterwall metadata is stuck with the information from the first file. I also tried to remove it completely from the poster wall and added again, but the old data is still there. If I play the new file and pause the playback, the information shows the correct information. Anyone else have this issue ?

This relates to scraping metadata, not MediaInfo metadata.

The refresh MediaInfo metadata, from the posterwall, go to movie info screen, press "More" to get the metadata info and press the "Refresh" button:

Yes this is exactly my experience. I play m4a files from BD-A rips and they all skip tracks in Music Player 8 when I try to play albums. Thank you for testing, @cucnz.

@Markswift2003, could you please report this issue to Zidoo? Thank you.

@Markswift2003 I posted this earlier, just wanted to make sure you seen it.

I just got the Z3000 Pro and updated it. I watch all my movies off an internal hard drive. So far I've noticed that it doesn't rewind the video with the down arrow when the up and down are set to fast forward or rewind. I set the bookmark for the beginning to 5 minutes and the unit ignores it, if I stop a video before the 5 min it displays a watched time and it didn't on my Z1000 Pro and when restarting a video after the 5 minutes I can't hit left to restart the video from the beginning when the overhead text appears.

Can you add a delay/pause to start the video when the resolution and frame setting is set to match the video in the next update, like you had on the Z1000 Pro so the video doesn't start playing while the handshake is still processing? There also used to be a task view on the old units, can that be added back also?

Also, I was playing around in the advanced settings and found how to put the unit into developer mode but it doesn't seem to add any developer menu anywhere. Can it be turned off if I want/does it even matter?

Hi Mark. I found out something very interesting...When I start up the whole system and turn on the zidoo with audio enabled in the main HDMI port and then switch the audio back to the secondary HDMI port, the problem goes away. It's like during the boot phase and with audio enabled in the secondary HDMI port, there is an EDID problem between the second HDMI port of the zidoo and the Denon AVC-A1HD. When during the boot phase the audio is enabled in the main HDMI port and then I switch it back to the secondary one, most likely a more correct EDID between the two devices is obtained and everything works perfectly again. I did several tests today and changing the audio output after starting the zidoo, it always worked fine and the audio no longer skipped.
I just have to remember that before turning off the zidoo I have to enable the audio output in the main HDMI port, but at least doing this everything works correctly again.
    What do you think?

There is an issue with Rewind.

Unconfirmed at the moment, but I believe the SOC doesn't support rewind (in the traditional sense)

It's far easier to use the timeline and scrub backwards and forwards with the left/right arrows.

Start delay is on my list.

Access to Developer Options have purposely been removed. All relevant settings are exposed in the UI. If you've activated Developer Options then it can't be turned off but is not detrimental.

Interesting - have you tried leaving audio set in the secondary HDMI port but fully booting the Zidoo before turning the amp on?

    So boot sequence:

    TV
    Zidoo
    Amp

No way Mark, even with this boot sequence, the audio skips.

Well Mark, even if it is not normal, at least I have partially solved the problem by taking the precaution of selecting the audio output on the main HDMI port before turning off the zidoo. Let's hope for a future firmware that can solve this little problem.

I hope so, but I don't even know how to explain this to the devs!

I'm still completely puzzled about what's going on...

Just to remember because nobody seems to have the same problem.

Mark pretend I didn't say anything. The problem is still there. It was just a coincidence that it didn't give the problem for 4/5 times this afternoon. I turned everything back on 5 minutes ago and the problem came back.

I have 12 20TB and the last two z9x models handled them fine.

Some of them are loaded with over 18TB of data?

No, 20tb drives do not actually have 20tb of data even if it did it would be fine.
