OK so I did a bit more testing last night, all DTS formats I tested were out of sync DTS, DTS HD MA, DTS X.

I didn't have time to check how far out of sync they are, so not sure if it is by the same amount as before.

Can't use a delay now as the sync issues are DTS codec specific.

Exactement comme à la maison.......J'en ai parlé plusieurs fois depuis juillet et à première vue, je pensais être le seul à avoir ce problème!! Donc, cela me rassure un peu, mais ne résout pas notre problème!!!!!

So because you did not see the Dolby Vision VS10 Logo, this means you had "VS10 for DV Content" set to "No" (presumably an HDR10 logo appeared). And because you set "DV Content Output Mode" to "HDR", you were just playing the HDR10 base layer natively. This is the same as playing HDR10 content.

Previously when you set "DV Content Output Mode" to "HDR", you said you saw the Dolby Vision VS10 Logo. This means you must have had "VS10 for DV Content" set to "Yes" so in that case the HDR10 base layer is played, but VS10 is used to process it. So the output is still HDR10 and yet there are still audio dropouts. That's why I said it's not Dolby Vision that's causing it because in this case the output is HDR10 even though it is processed by VS10.

    But we're still no closer...

No Mark, the settings were the same and "VS10 for DV content" was and has always been set to "No" but the "VS10 Dolby Vision" logo still appeared, I have no idea why. After I tried another movie, Dune Part Two, and without touching anything in the settings, the "VS10 Dolby Vision" logo no longer appeared but the "HDR10" logo did. Maybe it depends on the type of Dolby Vision profile that is different from movie to movie. The fact is that the audio was perfect. I don't know...

Another strange thing that I don't understand is why when I change the source in the amplifier from DVD to CD and vice versa, everything resynchronizes and the audio goes back to being perfect but the video output changes from 24hz to 60hz. I really don't understand this thing!

These are my settings with "DV Content Output Mode" set to "HDR":

Hi @enry184, do you have the resolution locked by the way? I'd got a similar issue with my Z9XPro exchanging VS10-DV to HDR10 randomly (+custom EDID, HDFury Vertex2).

Yes, it was one of the first tests I did but the audio always keeps skipping

Although Zidoo handles quite good the config, it's most recommended to keep it in "Auto".

Ah, ok, yes - if you play a Profile 5 DV file then VS10 has to be used to convert to HDR10 because there is no HDR10 base layer. In that case the VS10 setting doesn't matter.

So Dune 2 was Profile 7 (or 8) and the previous file must have been Profile 5.

I think the Zidoo team will have to work a lot of overtime when they return from the holidays to fix all the malfunctions that exist. They are not few and they are not small. They will have to work hard to bring the performance of these boxes to the level they deserve. At least I hope so!

I've got no idea where this sync issue with DTS-HD is coming from.

I tested (using Spears & Munsil Lipsync patterns) the following:

    4K23 Dolby Vision Profile 7 DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-X
    4K60 Dolby Vision Profile 7 DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-X
    4K23 HDR10 DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-X
    4K60 HDR10 DTS, DTS-HD, DTS-X
    4K23 SDR DTS-HD

    All were frame perfect.

I tried skipping forward and backward (which is how I replicated the delay in TrueHD) and still frame perfect.

I did some more testing, as luck would have it I have a 4k file of 'The Goonies' which has both a DTS HD MA 5.1 audio track and a DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 audio track.

The Dolby track is in sync, the DTS is not, you can switch back and forth between them it's clearly out.

I think that the problems vary from user to user based on the configuration and electronics that they own. For those who already own an AV amplifier and a TV or video projector, there could be incompatibilities between the zidoo and the various electronics that we own and who more who less, there are problems of various kinds and types. I only hope that a new firmware will be released soon that is more or less good for everyone and that it will solve the problem that I have but above all most of the problems that I read about here from many users. I would never want to part with my UHD8000 but if I am forced, I will.

I also see a very noticeable sync issue with DTS-HD. I've tried turning off 'Auto Lip Sync' on my Denon amp and trying the 'Pass-through compatible mode' - setting it to a 130ms delay. None of this works. The only way is to set global delay of around 125-150ms.

    Other audio codecs seem OK.

I think that's definitely the case - obviously the key element is the older amplifier, but that doesn't explain why the UHD3000 works fine under the same circumstances.

    What about DTS or DTS-X?

DTS appears OK. Don't have much DTS-X except a few demo disks. However played clip from Pitch Perfect 3 and that had sync issue.

Edit: Those tests are with Pass-though compatible mode set to a 130ms delay.

These are those mysteries that no one will ever solve. I have never had any problems with the UHD3000.

This afternoon I did another test. This Feintech split that I was talking about yesterday

    https://feintech.eu/en/collections/...g4yf5-iNEDIbeEL10FIgJ86JIJkTKRgaNJlAfeHYTaJTj

in addition to working as an eARC, it also has a double functionality and that is that it can separate the video and audio signal of an HDMI port, it supports 4K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision up to 60hz. So I selected the main HDMI port of the zidoo as the main audio output and the result was that everything works perfectly, the TV goes into Dolby Vision and the audio no longer skips. How do you explain this? It's like there's some sort of incompatibility with the audio-only HDMI port on the Zidoo and my Denon AVC-A1HD.
