Thank you for the audio offset function. I was reading in another thread yesterday that this function was not available (maybe as if last week).
Was struggling with lip sync issues in a TeueHD track yesterday.

Thanks again for all your help! I will try to get that challengers thing.

For me, it seems 150 ms is a good value for truehd and dts hd. 0 ms seems fine for DD and DD+. I didnt test thoroughly for normal DTS or AAC, OPUS and other basic audio yet but my guess is 0 ms will be fine based on my basic testing on these.

50 ms is definitely not enough here and I might personally fail to notice a 50 ms delay.

A new person just posted in this thread that he needs to use the audio offset for TrueHD.

Something is less good on A/V sync versus the Z9X Pro for me and others, at least it’s clear for TrueHD and DTS HD files here.

Is there a way to map the audio offset function on a button directly? Maybe the color buttons?

I can confirm that there is still lip sync issues for:
    1. 1917 UHD ISO
    2. The Batman UHD ISO, and
    3. pretty much all UHD Isos with Dolby Tru-hd.
Also, Fury (UHD Iso) wouldn't play only flashes and goes back to the main screen.

Another lip sync issue report to add. I’m using -150ms to watch American Hustle True HD, which seems to work.

I checked the same movie (BD 4K remux in mkv) and in my case, to get it in sync I had to move from my "global" +50ms setting to +75ms delay. I also tried the DD 5.1 track and it stayed in sync with the +75ms. But this said, how is it possibile that I need a +75ms delay and you instead need a -150ms on the same movie??!! (I'm not doubting, I'm just trying to understand!!). I then played the AV Sync patterns I shared the other day and now the +75ms delay gets it right with any audio codec and any video codec combination (till yesterday, the +50ms got it right in my case). And this actually already happened to me a few days ago, when I was quite confident that the +75ms was good, but the next day, it looked out of sync again and I needed to set it to +50ms.
So, apparently, with my system, a delay range between +50ms and +75ms gets randomly things right with any track codec (and maybe tomorrow I will need to go back to no delay at all?!?)... but for others, the out of sync can be much worse and even codec dependent, and not only as a delay, but apparently also as an ahead setting.
I'm starting to wonder if there may be some global A/V sync bug, maybe triggered by the frame-rate handshaking, that can be quicker or slower depending on the system combinations of each of us? With the issue even randomly acting differently once we switch off everything and then switch everything back on again?
I'm just trying to figure out what's going on: we are all reporting different behaviors and this is not normal... we need to understand why?

Let me add that I really don't think I am actually able to perceive a 25ms difference in sync (normally, within 1 frame delay - so a little more than 40ms - no one can notice an out of sync), so when I need to move from 50 to 75ms (like this morning) and I see the sync right again, I think something else is actually happening. And this could also explain why I need to randomly change the setting once I switch on my system again...

It is not on the list, but the new firmware fixed my issues with online trailers on my Z9X 8K :)

    Hi All
UHD8000 is a great box, image quality is fantastic, the HT5 is fine and easy to use, may I propose a light upgrade in the description of a movie.

I'd like to have the aspect ratio icon in the movie description (based on IMDB).
For people with an home cinema with projector it's an important piece of information.

    I guess it's not so difficult. :)

Maybe you are going slowly insane just like me concentrating on these sync problems …

As a general rule for me now, this works:
TrueHD snd DTS HD: 150 ms
    Anything else: 0 ms

Did not test standard DTS but tested DD, DD+, AAC

The reason the ms varies in my humble semi-understanding of the situation is that our equipment does not add the same lag to the chain and the auto-sync that should occur does not occur on this player for some reason. Tested game mode with low tv processing lag vs cinema tv mode with high processing lag and the a/v sync issue is mostly gone on game mode. Tested the same thing on my pc playback with truehd passthrough on same hdmi chain and all is synced correctly always even in cinema mode and I can feel the high processing lag of cinema mode of the tv while moving my mouse cursor but the movie A/V is still synced.

I can only do this in SDR or HDR as I have no DV game mode. There was no refresh rate switching in these test with the pc though and I was in 4k 120hz.

I also seem to see that sometimes the sync is worst than at other times during the same movie playback so it may also be unstable during the same movie but in general 150 seems ok. It should work at 0 ms though.

All of my films which are in MKV and have TrueHD and DTS MA are out of sync. Also subtitles show on every film and have to manually turned off. I can test files if needs be, hopefully a new firmware will fix these issues....

    Hi all,
I'm not really noticing lip sync issues with my BR/UHD ISO files, but what I am noticing is a big difference in volume levels between different movies +/- codecs which I don't have with the Z1000 Pro.
Obviously not a big issue, just turn the volume up and down as required, but I was wondering if there's something wrong in my setup that's causing this?
    Cheers, Dave

I just added a delay of 150ms to the audio as suggested as a workaround, using my Denon AV amplifier to do the delay, and now the audio appears to be in sync. Still have the subtitle issue though. Surely there must be others with this issue?

I noticed this at home and since I changed the HDMI audio output from 'raw to AUTO' the sound is better and of equal value!!
    Strange but it's a fact.....bug!

Hi Mark, sorry but I wasn't able to send you a 25fps video that has interlacing issues, but maybe I was able to find the problem.

However, I wanted to ask you for help regarding HT5: I have some short films made by me. For each video I created the Poster, the Fanart and the Clear Logo, but I can't associate them inside the Poster Wall. Can you help me figure out how to fix this problem? Thank you.

I've just started getting to grips with my UHD8000 and I've noticed this too

I have an issue where every film I play displays subtitles in the native Plex app. I have tried the 'Automatic' and 'Follow Default Flag' options and both still incorrectly display subtitles. I have checked the media flags and this does not happen with the Plex apps on any of my other devices, which correctly only show subtitles only if they are forced or turned on by default.

Yes I'm having an issue with subtitles starting - even though I've got them switched off in settings. Seems to be limited to full bluray rips. But not all. I don't know what the common link is.

I am experiencing this on MKV rips of UHDs as well.
