I have both and neither are an issue for me.

 

So for the next firmware, I would like the people at Zidoo to look at the general stability of the device......because there are still quite a few bugs of all kinds affecting the quality of this zidoo.

BUGS: disconnection in HT5 - general blocking etc......and therefore forced to restart the device many times!!

 

There a few "Active" members not making sure their posts are in English - please check your posts, I am aware it's not intentional - @cucnz is one too

For those who are having issues with "subtitles" in full disc playback. Can you check the format of the discs that are causing problems. I think it is only HDR10 titles that are affected. DV discs don't seem to be?

 

It's not named 'Shutdown' I think it's just something like

Settings > Display > Subtitles > Default 'Off' (From Memory)

 

Am I the only one who doesn't have the basic 'rewind' on a film?

I can Fast Forward in multiple speed increments, but no rewind at all?

On my UHD8000 I couldn't find the setting - Shutdown meant nothing so I left it alone. After Mark suggested this was a translation issue I applied Shutdown and voila no more subtitles - it's definately there

 

I can't apply it if it isn't there. Can you supply a screenshot? Wonder if it's a UHD8000 setting only - @Markswift2003 ?

 

No, it's on all boxes - in subtitle settings.

Hi - that’s where I was looking as you can see from the screenshot mine doesn’t say “shutdown” but “off”. Presume they do the same thing. Crazy that we’re both on the same firmware but with different command naming?

Yes I was on English US - looks like they changed in that translation file but not the UK one. Switch was showing "off" in both language settings, but makes no difference. Subtitles are still a mess for folder/ISO playback. Thanks for the help it was driving me daft.

 

Change to US Engkish - it's the only English translation that makes any sense
