    That just sounds like a corrupt file or the source becoming invalid for some reason during play.

    Been happy with my new Z9X 8K however there is one thing that is bugging me.
    I have all my media one two QNAP NAS but yesterday I moved 2 .mkv files for TV Shows to their respective folders but they do not show in the poster wall. Nor in unmatched.
    I did however find them using file manager and could play them successfully. I went back to poster wall and they are not there. I restarted the Z9X 8K a few times and they are not there!

    Is this a bug??

    @Markswift2003
    Is there a way to speed up file transfer via smb? With the UHD3000 I transferred files at 80/90 mb/s, with the UHD8000 I don't go above 50 mb/s. How is this possible?

    Are we talking UHD8000 connecting to an SMB NAS Server or using the UHD8000 itself as a SMB Server.
    The last is what I use myself and can test using my Z9X 8K. Will do that. I think both are part of the development kit for Android coming with the SOC. So this is then now coming from Amlogic and not from Realtek anymore.

    Anyway Android does a very simple SMB implementation with no parameters that can be tuned. Using Wired Gbit Ethernet is highly recommended not WiFi.
    Also using SMB3 (and not SMB1) is essential as it is redesigned dealing with network delays.

    Important question for convenience!!

    How can we speed up access to "NAS and USB hard drives" which "pause" after a few minutes without being requested?? If anyone has an idea.....I'll take it!

    Transfers are done via wired Gbit network and not via WiFi. I do not use any nas, I transfer files directly to the internal hard disk present in the UHD8000. The windows settings remained the same and with the UHD3000 I was much faster in transfers. How do you enable SMB3?

    If you connect using W10/W11 as the client to the UHD3000 SMB server this should be the default as SMB1 backlevel needs special configuration to allow that.
    Will try myself and give my results here.

    Yes, I use Windows 11. Now I don't connect with the UHD3000 anymore because I sold it. Now I have the UHD8000 and compared to before I haven't touched anything.
    If you have a way, can you send me a guide on how to configure SMB3 or SMB1 blacklevel?
    I await your news.

    @enry184
    I am getting between 50 MByte and 60 MByte transfer rates.

    Same speed as me...Too bad, with my old UHD3000 the transfers were faster.

    Hi, wonderful and very helpful post, I have two extra options under DV when using my Sony a95l, I am wondering if anyone could explain the bottom two to me.

    Thanks that explains it pretty well, I went for tv led bypass with my Sony a95l.
    I am a bit confused if I should enable dv vs10 engine for DV when using this option.

    Also I am getting occasional micro stutters in DV titles, I tried on both tv led and tv led bypass and they still happen.
    Although thinking about it I didn't reboot the device after changing the settings.

    Also should I still use your recommended colour settings from page 1 of this post when using dv tv bypass.

    I don't have any stutters with my A95L routed through a switch and my decoder.

    Small existentialist question: not being able to play HDR10+, what is the best way to convert it:
    -HDR10 or -LLDV
    Thanks in advance !

    It's your own like but technically it seems you may keep on HDR10.

    Yes....thank you, that resonates with my eyes! Besides, compared to my Z9X I find the LLDV less efficient on this model, on the other hand the HDR10 is much more efficient!! I wonder if I won't play all the HDR/DV in HDR10 .............:rolleyes:
