So why am I not seeing anything at all in Windows File Manager? I can ping my UHD8000 192.168.0.81 but that's about it.

Probably because Windows is being belligerent - what's the IP address of the box.

In Windows File Explorer, type \\192.168.0.81 into the address box.

I don't use discs in my 8000 but I just rammed in an old 250GB job I had lying around and it came up immediately.

You're the man! As always. I completely forgot to type "\\" before IP Address - another Senior Moment - have had 3 now in less than 24 hours!

To be fair, that's an easy mistake to make.

Not taking the protective plastic off a mains plug, that's a different matter completely :D:p

It's okay....I didn't enter the correct one, one zero too many!!!!
    Thanks Mark.
PS: I will review the Z9X 8K tomorrow when I have become familiar with it!!
First impression: super clean image and colors with a wide palette!
The sound is much better than the old Z9.....

I just upgraded from the UHD3000 to the UHD8000, I could make the UI display in 2.35:1 on the 3000 is this no longer an option I can't seem to find any settings allowing this?

Apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere

Have you noticed any significant differences in audio and especially video compared to the UHD3000? Is it really worth the upgrade?

    It's missing and I don't know why - I've asked the question.

What EDID settings (or file) should be considered to connect to an HD Fury Vertex 2 (and to a JVC projector)?

I still have my Z20 Pro, but I am considering to upgrade to the Z30 Pro.

Why oh why have they removed the CinemaScope setting from the screen configuration?? All my menus are out of band on my 2.40:1 screen!

Maybe a silly question but how can i change the output resolution of my Z30? I want to upscale 1080p to 4k like with my older Z1000 or Dune 4K Solo. Thanks in advance!

    Settings/Display/Resolution > 3840x2160P (whatever frame rate you want, I recommend 23.976)
Settings/Playback/Auto Frame Rate/Local Playback > Match Framerate only.

    @Markswift2003

Works fine. Thank you. By the way, you are on of the reasons to buy again a new Zidoo. Thank you for your patience and helpful hands!
