In order to use the Chrome app to any extent, I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard. It paired up just fine, but it does not do anything. Has anyone successfully paired a keyboard with the device?

Yes, I ve put the dongle in the back UsB PORT and is working ok. If I put it in front I have problems, it s connected but it doesnt do anything. Try to put it in the back and come with a reply.

Ok, so you don't use a BT just a keyboard and dongle. I assumed you had to use BT. BT does not work, I did have another wireless with dongle and that worked pretty good. Chrome is about useless on the device, but the keyboard helped tremendously on matching the remaining unmatched movies. Thanks Razvan, much appreciated.

My TV shows folders contains above 26000 files. Apart from the long scans (and sometimes failing), is there a recommended no of files that this chip should handle per source? FYI, I’m using Z9X 8K

@Markswift2003 maybe this can be part of the Recommended stuff?

I tried to watch a 3D movie last night but it only played as a normal file. In HT the file showed as iso and 3D
Are there any specific settings in the z9X that need to be set. My Valerion Visionmaster Pro2 is 3D capable.

Hi Mark, would you be so kind as to explain to me what the difference is between these two options?

    1. HDR10 Content Output Mode > DV

    2. Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content > Yes

I ask you this because if I set option number 1, HDR10 content is seen well and the VS10 Dolby logo appears at the top left of the TV.

If I set option number 2, however, the VS10 Dolby logo always appears at the top left but HDR10 content is seen badly and the black is not black but a faded gray.

    Why does this happen?

    I remind you that I have a 77-inch LG Oled C3 TV

The first one defines how HDR10 content is output (DV, HDR or SDR)

The second one defines whether or not VS10 is used or not

    1. If you set:

HDR10 Content Output Mode > DV

then HDR10 content is converted to DV and in that case it doesn't matter what you set Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content to because VS10 is always needed to output DV. I would still suggest setting Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content to "Yes" because if come back to look at the settings, it makes logical sense. But it doesn't affect the picture in any way.

    2. If you set:

HDR10 Content Output Mode > HDR
    Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content > No

then HDR10 content is output natively as HDR10 with no VS10 processing

    3. If you set:

HDR10 Content Output Mode > HDR
    Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content > Yes

then HDR10 content is output in HDR10 but it is processed by VS10

    4. If you set:

HDR10 Content Output Mode > SDR
    Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content > No

then HDR10 content is converted to SDR using AMLogic processing.

    5. If you set:

HDR10 Content Output Mode > SDR
    Dolby VS10 for HDR10 Content > Yes

then HDR10 content is converted to SDR using VS10.

I don't know why you're seeing the faded grey - that doesn't happen here.

Markswift2003 so for HDR10 material you recommend using VS10 yes? Picture quaity should be better against HDR10 Content Output Mode > HDR settings?
I asked here, this losing details it's only in model Z9X 8K or it was already fixed?

Yes Mark, I know all this. There was no need for me to go into so much detail, thanks anyway. I just wanted to understand what the difference was between the two settings I mentioned earlier, since in both modes I see the same logo in the top left VS10 Dolby. Only that by selecting option number 1 everything is visible very well, if I select option number 2 the black is gray and I don't understand why since in both options the Dolby VS10 engine is activated.

I've no idea why that would happen, both modes are the same.

In fact, I ask for this very reason, since they are the same modality...The mysteries of life!!!

I'd always recommend you try it and decide which you think looks best.

I already did, and in my opinion VS10 black is more deeper and in general picture has more details, thanks

It depends on individual output configuration. In my case:
    a) For Samsung QLed TV: VS10 delivers lighter black and a bit washed colours.
    b) For LG Oled TV: VS10 delivers deeper black and sharpen colours.

How do you think it depends on?

It depends on TV receiver either LG oled (DV, HDR10) or Samsung Qled (HDR10+, no DV). The output images are a bit different with VS10.
