Recommended Settings and other useful stuff for AML S928X Players

I read and read and I think I know the theories, I'm a little worried about the configuration of this, and why don't you recommend Arcana1? I found that it's the cheapest option to get DV and it was also recommended to me as one of the choice on HDFury discord. And here

Arcana 1 is the cheapest option that's why I'm considering it, Vertex 1 was advised against to me on Discord.

I found a tutorial for my Epson TW9400 and someone is using Vertex1, but I would take Arcana1 as I was told.

Please tell me how to understand your words? What does your Vertex 2 do with SDR, HDR10?

It seems to me that you inquired about getting some HDFury model advice.. Mark explained the differences about what can and can't be done with the models and offered his suggestion.. but yet, you seem to be already dugin with your own ideas anyway... And that's fine, do your research and purchase what you want then. I would say this... if you are serious about this hobby... and it sure seems like you are, then I wouldn't mess around with lesser options just to get by and save a few bucks... get the much more capable HDFury Vertex 2 and you will be totally covered with whatever you want to do down the road. If that model doesn't work out for you, HDFury products are very easy to resell.

My Z3000pro can't play DTS HD HRA tracks, (no sound or choppy sound) DTS and DTS HD MA work without a problem.
I had a UHD3000 before and the DTS HD HRA tracks played fine.

DTS-HD HRA track plays fine here - can you post a short sample?

 

All my DTS HD HRA files have a problem and do not play any sound.
The screen on my amp (ARCAM AVR20) flashes when they are playing.

 

Works here - Shows DTS-HD HI RES on my Denon.

You could try RAW which sends bitstreams regardless of EDID, but I suspect it's one of those maddening "compatibility" issues with the Arcam.

There may be an HDMI setting in the Arcam (there is in Denons) where you specifically set the audio per input to "HDMI" or "Digital" or something like that instead of "Auto" which can occasionally cause issues.

Could do with someone else with an Arcam to report in...

I made some manipulations
I set the HDMI audio only output to RAW, but it made no difference, and the problem persists.
The Arcam settings didn't change anything either.
Finally, I did a complete reset of the Zidoo and that didn't change anything either.
