New firmware v1.0.42 for ZIDOO_X6 Pro release

Yes i got this update too, 2 days ago now i think..............

and STILL NO FIX for the ALLSHARE issue...........

when will you guys finally switch this casting nonsense OFF by default ???? I still can't get rid of this and run Foxtel GO !!

 

still "obtaining IP address". I'm tempted to designated it a static IP address on the router, but I can't tell which android device it is and can't find the option to set its name.

 

Where can I get firmware 1.0.43 for manual update?

Inchu i'm well aware of this.

FAct of the matter is that Zidoo has screen sharing enabled by default, hence Foxtel Go detects this and complains about it. We know WHY foxtel does this. The problem is Zidoo not addressing it and switching all casting OFF by default. You can't blame foxtel for the checking !

I can't get HDMI-CEC to work properly. When I turn off my Samsung Smart TV the X6 goes into standby (red light).
However I can't get it out of standby-mode with my Samsung remote when I turn on my tv.
Also in the settings of the X6 I can't see any HDMI-CEC settings. Any ideas?

I have read that thread and link before you gave it. But it doesn't fix my problem. My problem is that the Samsung TV doesn't recognize the CEC of the Zidoo X6 when it's in standby mode.
So it can't wake the X6 up.

 

I hope that we will see the renovation kodi 17 on which a count.

 

Yes id like to know when kodi 17 is coming to the x6 pro as my tablet automatically updated to 17 today from google play.

Kodi krypton from google play seems to work pretty good
Have only tested swedish play channels.

 

After I updated to 1.0.42 it told me to download on line 1.0.43 which I did and my wireless keyboard no longer works on about half of the functions including BACK, ESC, OK, to name a few. The keyboard always worked before and it still works on my SPMC 16.4.2 on the same box. It will not work properly with 16.5.5 or 16.8.1. Is there any truth to Android 6 coming to Zidoo X6 Pro's?

 

Par for the course for all of their products when a new one comes along.

If people stopped buying them then it will force them to do a major rethink about how they should value their user base.

But if folk keep on feeding at the table then you will continue to be given scraps to eat.

 

No Marshmallow, for that you need to buy a new box.
Other manufacturers already released Marshmallow for RK3368 and are even planning Nougat firmware.

 

Like I said before, Zidoo "long term support" sucks...
