If I'm not mistaken, this feature is not available.

On my Egreat A11 this feature exists, I guess Zidoo would be able to add it.

    Hello Zidoo Team,

One of request that comes up often is the possibility of playing all the videos that are in a folder at once.

    ----------

Would it be possible to add a function that allows us to play all the video files that are in a folder by adding the functionality ''play all files'' ?

Does this feature already exist on the zidoo?

It may not be possible on the Zidoo ?

    -----------

This is only an example on the screenshot, the option could also be in another menu

    Thank you

Just installed and HDR10+ is disabled when using frame-rate switch, and only works when selecting 2160P 50hz or 60hz settings (which introduce lots of judder on 23fps files).

I'll go through the settings again, I think Ive done everything as per those but the hdmi colour region which I set to auto, same with audio as there is no DTS otherwise.

Tried the settings, and still judders set to 2160P 60hz which is the only setting to keep the HDR10+ active. It's a Samsung Q90T so maybe a Samsung issue with the Judder, but surely HDR10+ should run when using frame-rate switch on the Z9X?? I'm getting a real washed-out colouring after too much playing with settings too, with HDR stuck to on, a reset in order I think.

yeah muck around too much with the display settings and it seems to lock up
still a bit unstable with early firmware

you tried the different HDR settings in display ie HDR10 mapping on as well as the Auto on thou today i thought i had hdr10+ showing when i had forced DV 10 on ,while testing a boys epi

lol sometimes all the setting playing just blends in

definitly know theres other ppl with no issues playing the hdr 10+ ...thou tbh i think there were Panasonic z1000/1500/2000 tvs as well( ie i sent a link to a boys epi i know works fine on mine and worked fine for them too

By and large I am not having issues with HDR10+ but sometimes after "mucking around" (I like that phrase!) after I have played several non-HDR10+ titles, the next time I play one, it appears very dark - too dark to watch. I'm still trying to establish whether this is due to: -
    1. Vertex2
    2. Zidoo
    3. Samsung TV
    4. The Rip (Title)
    5. Handshaking

I'm coming round to thinking it's all to do with the Rip and reading about things on here and @Markswift2003 's Recommended Settings (DOLBY VISION MKV COMPATIBILITY) makes me very suspicious.

@mijacmad says: "Tried the settings, and still judders set to 2160P 60hz which is the only setting to keep the HDR10+ active. It's a Samsung Q90T so maybe a Samsung issue with the Judder, but surely HDR10+ should run when using frame-rate switch on the Z9X?? I shall experiment with the frame-rate switch because I have a similar TV and it's yet another variable, it seems, that has entered into my thinking - what a game!

Frustrating when limited to a single device to view/transmit HDR10+ and probably half Zidoo, half Samsung. HDR forced gives HDR only at all settings other than 50/60HZ.

Are you still getting HDR10+ on you're Samsung after changing from any other than 50/60HZ settings then?

    Hello furqansaeed18,

Here are my settings, check that you have the same

    ----------

    Zidoo

    ----------

    Sony TV

    External Input settings/HDMI Signal Format

    And Enable ''Enhanced format''

Go to advanced Settings/Video Options menu and check :

    HDR mode : AUTO
    HDMI video range : AUTO
    Color space controls : AUTO

If you have the same settings you should have Dolby Vision.

My dolby Vision video files are MP4 and MKV DV,

I am not sure that the BDMV format allows to have Dolby Vision with the Zidoo...

    ----------

Currently my Zidoo is connected directly to the TV and I use the eARC for DTS HD / Atmos sound.

If i use the display button from the remote Sony, it show me on the TV screen what input is being used and some informations about the video.

Here is an example with the movie ''MIDWAY'' mkv dv / DTS HD 7.1
    (thanks ghostshadow)

we can see that it is in 2160p, 16/9 and Dolby Vision

Sorry for the quality of the picture, it is not representative of what I see with my eyes
    [IMG]

if my Zidoo is connected to my receiver, I will have a pop-up from the receiver which tells me that it is receiving a dolby vision signal and the TV will offer me options for Dolby Vision (Bright, dark and vivid), which means that the Sony TV receives the Dolby vision signal.

    ----------

when you go to the TV settings you see HDR and it's normal, no need to worry about it.

If your receiver informs you that the signal is in 8 bits instead of 12 bits with Dolby Vision videos, no need to worry about it.

This is a technical limitation of HDMI, this is called RGB tunneling and it's intended behavior. Basically the DV stream is wrapped in an 8bit RGB signal and sent through HDMI to be unpacked by the TV.

    See you

I've only learned about this today - given the Zidoo's recommended settings, I must admit I have tended to keep changing them back to 23.whatever as every time I have changed the HDR settings, it has reverted back to 60Hz. But "mucking around", with so many variables, I'm a bit lost now where exactly I am. Better half has hogged the tv today - I've been phaffing with other stuff, so it will be tomorrow now before I have another testing session with the Zidoo. But I have had hit and miss sometimes with HDR10+ and wondering if the "Darkness" I sometimes experience is down to this?

For new users, you must know that Zidoo offers a choice between 2 media centers to use on their devices...HT4 or ZDMC 18.9 which is a fork of Kodi 18.9.

    http://apidl.zidoo.tv/app/zdmc-18.9_rtk.apk

Setting up ZDMC (Kodi) properly is a challenge...Think of ZDMC (Kodi) as the frame of an unfinished house. This is your base and foundation for where all of your essential items will be stored.

ZDMC has a lot of customization options, which let you build whatever you want if you're willing to take the time.

There are a lot of tutorials that will show you how to set up / use ZDMC (Kodi) on google or youtube and get the most out of your streaming device.

And just like me if you hesitate between HT4 and ZDMC, know that the 2 media centers can coexist on your Zidoo box and have the time to choose the one you prefer.

Unlike other brands, Zidoo offers 2 choices to its users, so why not taking the opportunity to discover these 2 media center...

    EDIT

Note : ZDMC uses the Zidoo player and some kodi features are not available with ZDMC ( ''
mark as watched'' or ''Play from here'' for example not working)

Attention, ZDMC utilise le player Zidoo et certaine fonctionnalités de kodi ne sont pas disponible avec ZDMC

ZDMC integration with Zidoo internal player could be better. After watching an episode via ZDMC/Zidoo player, it does not mark the item as watched. Very very basic integration is not done properly.

ZDMC "Play from here" function does not work, the Zidoo player only plays 1 clip and stops. Sad.

Been mucking/messing around today but I cannot replicate this problem - whether set to 23hz or 60hz all my HDR10+ titles played perfectly. I experienced zero darkness but I know this will raise it's head again - I just cannot phathom this out.

@Markswift2003 - I thought the Vertex2 switched on and off by itself depending on a signal passing through it or not? Today I pressed the activity on my Harmony Elite - everything switched on other than the Vertex2. I rebooted it and then everything was fine. To be honest I'm suspecting the Vertex2 isn't handshaking as it should?

It doesn't switch on and off, it's just on permanently - if you're not sure what's coming in or going out, check the web gui.

You running this through on a samsung or panasonic with the inbuilt HT 4.0?

Hi @mijacmad - I don't use HT 4.0 just Zidoo's native player - @Markswift2003 why was it necessary to reboot the Vertex2 then?
