    No, if the Sony doesn't support HDR10+, a custom EDID won't help.

    Hi Mark! I have an LG C4 TV and a Zidoo UHD8000, which EDID do you recommend or can it be made for it? Thank you for your help

    You shouldn't need a custom EDID unless there's something specific you want it to do.

    Unless you have a specific requirement you don't need a custom EDID.

    If you post your EDID I can tell you what the physical ability of your screen is, but there's nothing you can do to increase that.

    To Download EDID
    ================

    Settings/Display/Custom EDID/Save EDID

    Save to a USB stick or network location

    Post file as attachment to forum

    Hi, what max FPS can Z3000 PRO decode and output for 4k video (assuming TV can handle it)?

    Hello, friends! I would like to confirm how important this topic is for our zidoo users. I connected the new Z9X 8K to the Sony VPL XW5000 projector. I set it up as usual, afr, HDR. Before that, Zidoo was also equipped with this projector. I have never changed the EDID. And then I saw this topic and started to figure it out, compare different EDID and HDR settings. As a result, I left the first EDID in the list and HDR in auto, and now I'm just impressed. We'll have to watch all the movies. It was as if the projector had been replaced with the latest model. Thanks to everyone who advises and analyzes this topic!

    Edit: I changed the denon monitor output to monitor 1 instead of auto and the zidoo picked up the correct parameters. Very odd, but it works.

    Connected my new Z9X 8K to my Denon X3800h that is connected to a Samsung Q80 and apparently the box says no HDR. AppleTV and other devices have no issues in that regard. It is definitely not a general setting issue on AVR/TV. All outputs are set to 8k enhanced and video processing is set to bypass. With the 4K60Hz BT.2020 HDR10+ custom EDID it works of course (does it work correct though?). Is there anything else I should maybe do?
    I saved the EDID with the Z9X connected directly to the TV and uploaded that one. Checked it on my own and at least I understood that HDR is not fully enabled... Happy for any advice.

    That Samsung EDID supports HDR ok.

    What do you mean by "apparently the box says no HDR"?

    Can you post the EDID with the box connected to the receiver.

    Only if you have a custom EDID enabled.
