    CMv2.9

Bear in mind that's only for TV Led. The Zidoo supports CMv4.0 in LLDV.

Thank you for reply, my tv is LG OLED B8 (2018) 65 inch, the strange thing that im not facing any issues for the 4 modes of DV. Zidoo connected directly to TV.
    Appreciated.

Others have reported issues with TV Led Bypass but hopefully that will be optimised in the next firmware.

I wouldn't expect you to see any difference with CMv4.0 content as it's backwards compatible and although clever, is of little significance in the real world. Also, UHD BluRays are only currently mastered using CMv2.9.

I have Samsung S95C OLED which doesn't support Dolby Vision. I wonder what are the best settings for HDR for movies including Dolby Vision and standard HDR10 layers, should I use DV VS10 engine for HDR, DV and also for SDR content? Is it supposed to give better picture quality than just passing HDR and SDR content as is to the TV?

The best way is to use a custom EDID to force Dolby Vision and then an HDFury device to send a matching HDR message to the Samsung (that's what I do with my Samsung) and then you get the best of all worlds - HDR10, HDR10+ and native Dolby Vision.

Whether you go down that route or not, the best bet is to leave HDR on Auto.

That way, everything is native and Profile 7/8 uses the HDR10 base layer and Profile 5 will use VS10 to convert to HDR10.

You can of course experiment with VS10 and see if you prefer the picture.

To be honest I don't want to invest so much into HDFury, which is not cheap at all. And when I turned on VS10 engine for HDR/SDR I haven't noticed any noticable difference (does it depend on the movie how noticable can it be?), that's why I was curious whether it should give me better picture quality. The best would be to have side by side comparison of the same movie but of course I don't have two same setups :)

In that case, I'd probably stick with Auto.

One thing that may be worth trying is switch to Advanced, leave all settings on default with the exception of using vS10 for DV - that way you'll also be using the RPU for both Profile 7/8 and not just 5, in a similar way to how LLDV works.

So if I understand correctly, you absolutely have to check “VS10 for DV” to have all the profiles read! Is that right?;)

    Not sure what you mean...

Sorry for the Google translation! To have all the profiles read "LLDV", you absolutely have to check "VS10 for DV"?

No, it actually doesn't matter what you set for any of the VS10 settings if you set all Output Modes to DV because in order to output DV it has to use VS10 anyway (Output Mode takes precedence).

Ah that's what I've been doing for a while.........but your sentence above in response to "elc00l" gave me doubts.... So I'm going back to my first settings...Thank you....

Ah - that's about using an HDR only display so DV is output in native HDR10 if HDR is set to Auto.

But if you then set Dolby VS10 for DV Content > Yes, Profile 7 & 8 are processed by VS10 and the RPU is used (Profile 5 is always processed by VS10 regardless of that setting because it doesn't have a compatibility layer).

Yes, that is understood............. But I use an LLDV edit for everything so no need to check VS10!
    YES or NO? :confused::D;)
