Thanks for reporting. Added it to my list. Zidoo is notorious for not testing Video Player changes both with and without menu's. Have seen this already numerous times. They fix it for one mode and forget the other one, but they always fix that again when reported.

Yes, i've had no beta release that made the Z9x bricked or bananas. You can def install it.

Installed .90 yesterday and can now play (the only) DV rip I have, without any (serious) issues. Other niggles that arose in the previous beta have been resolved too, so great work from those at Zidoo. Noticed one minor bug - if I try to use fast rewind on the DV file, the TV screen goes blank and the content doesn't actually rewind, the display on the Z9X is static and when play restarts, it's from the same spot that rewind was engaged. Fast forward works, but not rewind.

It is my first post - because with firmware 0.90, I've got my first DV file working (kind of).
    Nothing worked before.

have you done all the settings as per

http://forum.zidoo.tv/index.php?thr...-for-rtd1619-players.82695/page-6#post-141502 first post on this thread

also have you checked the other things like good quality 8k certified hdmi leads from zidoo to reciver and reciever to tv

does your reciever pass thru 4k DV da etc and been set to do that ?

are you running zidoo to reciever to tv ?
if so have you tried zidoo direct to tv and on different leads

    couple places to check :)

He obviously hasn’t got refresh rate switching enabled, his TV or receiver probably doesn’t accept 4K DV at 60 hz hence the resolution drop.

    1. Fix the problem that some Dolby Vision videos are stuck (some MKV videos).

This problem still exists. Played Lord of the Rings - The two Towers mkv yesterday and the stream was stuck after about 2 hours of playing. Had to restart the movie.

I had the same problem I was watching Dolby Vision The Lord of the Rings UHD.BluRay.H265-BOREDOR.mkv trilogy and the picture stopped at approx

    ~ 01:17 hours seventeen minutes
    a second time
    ~ 02:33 two hours 33 minutes

The picture stopped and the sliding didn't help. I had to stop and reopen

I had the same thing on 3 parts of the trilogy At first I thought I had a broken file, but the same thing 3 times in another movie?

    Weird

This is a different issue, yet to be fixed.

I did not have this problem on the 3 Films of The Lord of the Rings track FR DTS XLL, mkv x265 DV (in version 0.66), not tested in 0.90
But the DV is activated only if Dolby Vision compatibility mode = off

Hey, this would be new to me. Some time ago I read about transcoding DV video, where there were quite some issues to overcome.
To keep it short for here: maybe some of you would know the proper approach on how to do this yourself? I'm rather eager to give this a try, even if it would be for a short testfile.

Please refrain from mentioning illegal content, Zidoo can get into trouble and eventually all of us.

Seriously? You're complaining about pirated stuff downloaded somewhere that doesn't work on your player!

these are all copies of uhd discs, which are very expensive and need to be damaged and scratched

Would ripping a UHD-BD disc and trying to recode it with x265 be illegal?

I bought at a bargain price of PLN 399 EAN: 7321931354356
I have the right to make a backup copy for private purposes, for example, due to scratches
