Yeah, really odd.

I just tested this on a Z9X and a Z9X Pro and both behaved the same.

SBS or TAB in the filename and Frame Packed output.

No SBS or TAB in the filename and standard 2D output.

And if you go to the 3D menu, this confirms the mode:



And the vertex confirms:

 

My proposal as user, who made an upgrade from z9x to z9x pro:
- Add standby mode as it was on Z9X;
- Add HDMI 2.1 QMS Seamless Framerate Match;
- Add secondary native audio language, if movie has no main native language;

Also bug report:
Denon AVC-x3800h (HDMI-CEC is completely off), zidoo z9x pro (HDMI-CEC is completely off)
When selecting input with ziddo on AVR - Zidoo reacts and starts powering on.

 

Thanks a lot for helping us(me & marc) and confirming that LG passive 3D sets do support Frame-packed 3D. Actually all the 4K 3D TV supports Frame-packed 3D if I'm not wrong and if thats not the case then how come I was able to play 3D on my 3D TV with Oppo device?
Don't know why Z9X pro is showing that my E6 doesn't support frame pack.

In my case even 3D iso wont play in 3D...even worse, renaming the files, adding 3D SBS & TB/TAB wont helped.
Is there anything wrong with my Z9X pro? Hardware issue may be?

Goodness knows why that works, definitely makes no difference here, but worth a try.

 

Tried all 3d files and also those samples provided few post before... and NONE is triggering 3D automatically. Also NONE of my old 3D movies is triggering auto 3D recognition on TV where still some of them using the old ancient popcornhour c-200 are triggering it correctly over the very same TV.

 

Well, this has nothing to do with Frame-packed 3D but might be a software bugs in my view.

 

Mark, Can you tell me how to not have the User Interface in 3D when engaged in 3D mode? It really looks annoyingly weird. My 3D TV would never do that.

@Markswift2003 - are you sure that EDID as extracted by Z9x Pro has the correct data as TV is actually reporting? Maybe there is a bug of how Z9X Pro reads the EDID data?

Ok. So I will extract EDID using all HDMI ports of my TV. Just to compare since the LG's specification in my case is quite strange. Not all ports are the same.

 

I have advised you in one of my first posts on this topic how to make the interface in 2D.
And this is by setting the "DEPTH" in the settings.
As per the example below, the movie is in 3D but the interface (OSD) is in 2D

 

That's quite often the case.

 

with 075 and z9x pro
I have still
. micro stutter on hrd files (big ones, 15gig for 50min) no issue with shield pro with receiver and emby lg TV app without receiver
. pause sometimes just play continues

new
. line breaks in srt subs are gone text from left to right whole screen
. starts in 4:3 format all compressed reboot and all good with 16:9

 

I have the impression that this software version is very problematic, I hope that a fix will arrive quickly
