    I installed the firmware.
    I found the following bugs:

    1. Samba still doesn't work. On Windows I see empty folders (only RECYCLE.BIN folder is visible). Even when accessing Zidoo Media Center via Samba, only the Recyle.bin folder is visible.

    2. Browser panel in start page is without function. Chrome Browser under Applications is not installed. Chrome cannot be installed via Google Play Store. Not available for this device.

    3. Amazon Prime was installed but does not appear under Applications.

    4. For a movie that plays correctly on Z10Pro, only sound will play on Z20Pro. No picture.

This is not a bug. The OS is Android TV 11 and it's a restriction by Google.

Thanks for the information. I did not know that.
Then why is the browser panel in the start page?

Just noticed another issue. With HDMI CEC disabled my z9x pro will still automatically power on when I switch my AV receiver input to it. Tried toggling various sub settings off too and can't stop it from powering on.

I've seen this too with other files, it's inconsistent and doesn't always freeze but very annoying when it does

The best way to completely disable CEC is with a Pin13 eliminator. Some devices don't shut down CEC completely even when off.

Just out of curiosity, if you installed a previous version of the G version will the OTA show to upgrade to the .52_G version? Or do I need to put it on a USB, and install it that way?

EDIT - Disregard I figured it out. Thanks.

  12. I am experiencing random micro stutter in MPEG2 files when played trough the poster wall play button.

Also worse stuttering with H264 playback using poster wall play button.

What and how do you remux a video file?

  13. At least I am not the only one with playback issues.....very annoying while watching a movie.

doom9.org is a good start for reading about it.

UHD5000, fw v1.0.52, poster wall with 5k posters:
    - changing a poster 90% crashes (in a series of 10 attempts)
    - go inside a collection / movie, then back, 97% crashes (in a series of 24 attempts)
    - surfing over 'Cast' to an actors film list, chose a movie from 'Movies and TV Shows' crashes (not yet quantified)

Absolutely repeatable and no problems with this with my Z10Pro, UHD3000.
Done a factory reset after FW update and built all up new.

But hey! The UHD5000 needs 58secs for recovery after a crash! The UHD3000 needs 1 min 57 secs. It was worth to buy it - I can have two times as many crashes in the same time period ;-).

Remuxing re-packages the streams into another container without re-encoding - i.e. video and audio streams are untouched keeping original quality, useful for creating mkvs which have better compatibility

I use MakeMKV or HandBrake depending on what I want to do

Any chance of having an option to disable the extremely intrusive “CEC volume control acting on AVR” pop up that happens every time you change the volume via the Zidoo remote

  18. So I already use Makemkv for al my files to convert them to mkv files....this is called remuxing.

No help in micro stutter playback though

Same here - tried the file 'DV_Black_Clip_48-120_MS_[BL+RPU].mkv' (don't have the MP4) with HDR set to Dolby Vision VS 10 engine(output DV) and it froze at 0:00:00. Had to power down the box with remote.

When back up noticed that HDR had set itself to Auto!

Tried again on Auto with same result

Not had issues with other DV files. I have one with same DV version and it plays just fine
