So I just tested it and there is a better but not perfect!
Solved: the latency of 30/50s on the sheet after reading and rear return ..... everything came back to normal!
Unresolved: the opening of HT4 remains blocking on the button at the top left 'Search' for about 70s, without you can open a backrest and even see the 'recent added pockets.

Sorry - I don't understand what you mean.

If you mean there is a delay in HT4 when you open it the first time after upgrading then that's normal as everything resets.

It only happens once.

I have no idea why that would happen - it's not something I've ever experienced. Mine opens immediately.

The quotes “ “ was reported in an earlier post and as a result I removed them from a file I had. Solved the problem. Could character set be involved?

I think I tried everything and the only problem characters I found were % & # ?

 

just tested it quickly, and so far so good. Will wait for a longer test to be sure, but i assume they found the bug?

XVID Packed Bitstream is not supported.

You can probably fix it by converting back to AVI and unpacking using MPEG4Modifier but I'm not 100% sure as it's well over a decade since I used XVID!!!

Im unfamiliar with the process... do I downgrade/ factory reset first or will this fw just work? PS, I was good with the 60 version and wanted to go back to that if possible. 62 seems to be the one that broke things.

Edit, i see this just the HT apk... hopefully it keeps the fixes of FW 60?

 

This isn't firmware, it's just the HT4 apk installer - just copy it to a network location or USB and run it from Media Center.

The second file is not specified as "packed bitstream"

Thanks, my one idea was to downgrade to FW 60 as that seemed to be fine. I only updated to 62 because one user said their drives ran smoother on it and well for me, its the complete opposite where the drives start chugging after some time and even unmount themselves after HT crash. I will try this apk but it seems I may need to downgrade as my issues may be much severe than others.

 

Guess I will have to back off my comment about cast problems being fixed. New episodes added still have the incorrect actors, however, doing an episode refresh after the initial scan does correct the problem.

Interesting that the "refresh" would get correct data but the initial scan does not.
