Tried a factory reset first? I don't use that format and can't test to verify.

 

As strange as this sounds I indeed can confirm the problem.

 

If you go to the advanced settings and change "Ignoring hdmi edid" to On,
the Netflix app on the z1000pro is shown as 2160p on the LG c8pla.

Have no idea by changing this setting if this will effect the proper working of the
z1000pro when using the Home Theatre feature with movies on
the internal hard disk.

Will do some further testing.

Hello, I allow myself to intervene because you have to be clear.

The Dolby vision Standard is defined, for MKV Zidoo has stated that Profile 8.1 support will be provided
mirror.

Personally my MKV Dovi are at this standard and exactly as the creative studios do:

I have already provided some encodings to Victor for the TrueHD problem, and I am still waiting.

So no need to wait for a standard, my mail is still operational if you want other encodes.

Had a look at Music Player. Did not encounter any instabilities thus far. That is looking good as that is the most important aspect.
Also some display improvements were made.

What surprises me are a few so simple but for me annoying things:
- Any album in its folder with a folder.jpg file included will never show this image when playing. Only Tagged images are used. Even the most simple music player will do this. No idea why Zidoo engineers don't like doing so (we insist on using our own scraping results?)
- Strange mathematics at Zidoo: ALL SACD with a 2.822 MHz sampling rate at 1-bit obviously transmit at 5,644 Mbit. OK 2x1=4 apparently???
- DVD-CD's still don't all play correctly: Some play at 2CH and a sporadic few just produce noise.
- When Album: Desire, Artist: Bob Dylan, Track: 2 Title: Isis are all correctly found it displays as: Isis and below 2.Desire-Bob Dylan which may be logical in China but I would show it as: Bob Dylan - Desire and below 2 ISIS as the track number and title really belong together. You may inverse Artist and Album and the two lines if preferred.

We are talking Music Player v6.9.18 already. Not an early release.

I can confirm the loss of sound at that point. No use to do a reset. Also tried it on my Blu-ray player as a cross check and it played complete on that one. So a new bug slipped in again, that happens too often.

I will keep the file for testing when claimed to be solved.

 

Before update, this file did not play as DV, only HDR on my CX:

The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies
Format profile: Main 10 @ L5.1 @ High
HDR format: Dolby Vision, Version 1.0, dvhe.07.06, BL + EL + RPU, Blu- ray compatible / SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible.

Now plays perfect with Dolby Digital.
If i play with Atmos, after few minutes, stuttering.

 

in this new update, when you pres OK or info button, DTS-HD MA is now labeled as LPCM.

 

2001 DV and 5.1 stutters audio lag after a few mins (pgs subs still on this one)

Alita DV DA PGS subs stripped after 10 minsish smaller stutters but audio still out by sec or so
Alita HDR10+ DA PGS subs intact Stutter 2 sec audio lag after 3 mins this played thru fine completley in v.60 didnt check fully in .66
Alita HDR10+ DA PGS subs stripped less stutter audio lags by 2 secs
Alita HDR10+ 5.1 PGS subs stripped fine till 5 mins

Alita dv da no subs Fresh makemkv .54 exact same stutter 2 sec audio lags after 3 mins
Alita HDR10+ DA no sub Fresh makemkv.54 as above maybe slightly less stutter and audio only out by a sec rather then 2 ,but again , this worked fine on v.60

Flash Gordon DV 5.1 stutter audio lag after 5 mins (pgs subs intact)

Hobbit Unexpected Journey DV DA no subs small intermittent stutters audio in synch

Casino Royale DV 5.1 stuttery audio out by 1 sec ish (was playable in v.60)

Tremors DV MA5.1 stuttery audio out of synch after 5 mins ish

Pitch Black DV MA5.1 a lot worse stutter audio lags.with this firmware

Aquaman DV DA as a .ts type file seems to have worse stutter/audio lags now....was a lot more watchable in previous firmwares

running Alita DV DA no subs in background will check stability in hour and edit in other movies as i test
edit stutter audio lag came in around 10 mins with pgs subs stripped compared to 3 mins with them intact ..thou stutter wasnt as bad(still unwatchable thou)

So far thou HDR10+ showing same issues at same places as DV with .80
Plus 5,1 movies like Casino Royale that pretty much had no issues cept maybe pauses at chapters now all seem to have the stutter /audio lags that DV DA has had all the time

Testing more movies will add as edits as i go

So far v .80 seems a backward step for DV and HDR10+
At least dvhe 05.06 files such as The Mandolorean tv epis didnt get broken ...still play fine with DV and lossy DA

 

Noticed since the update, when you pause and resume playback there is no sound for a few seconds. Turn mute on and off resolves the issue quickly.

I've been testing a few videos and I seem to be getting several seconds of silence at the beggining and end of each !!!
Possibly the same bug???

I suppose I still have to reset to downgrade to 66G, because the audio loss is happening to almost 80% of the clips, a bit too much to bear.

Uh oh. Factory reset does not downgrade me to 22G (the original version shipped with my box), it is still 80G. Can someone point me to the guide to downgrade?
