Tablet app design and function feature requests

This has been requested before but it's a good idea. I guess it requires users to be pretty organised for it to work well.
A good way to implement this would maybe be on the playlist view where you can touch the cover to bring it up full screen....maybe once it's full-screen they could add side swiping to cycle through any images in an "artwork" or "scans" folder?

I've just spent the last few months going through my 8TB hard drive of music. After figuring out the best way to tag files for the Eversolo, I went through every single album and checked the tags

I have my collection on an external drive and each genre has its own folder, these are added to the eversolo separately so rescanning can be done by just scanning the genre needed.
After several mistakes (my own fault) with weird genres showing up and some cover images not showing, I have now finally got everything tagged to work perfectly.

So, after all this hard work I have a few suggestions to make life easier.....

1. The ability to update/rescan a single album. Sometimes you get a image/tag problem and it takes too long to keep rescanning the whole folder/collection just to update one album.
2. Why can't we save a copy of the covers in a cache somwehere instead of having to load them all everytime we browse a collection.
3. When using a tablet. In the playlist screen, there is a delay when you skip tracks and it has to reload the cover and background blur. Why can't it remember these whilst it's on the same album?
4. This one may be my external hard drive (which is powered) but the Eversolo doesn't spin down the drive when I switch off the A6.

 

Just sorting out the last few problem albums. I've just changed some text in an album tag and rescanned the main folder (taking a couple of hours) and no change. I have to remove the collection and re-add it....taking hours to scan again!
We really need a "update single album" option.

As for the external hard drive, A6 will automatically unmount the hard drive upon shutdown. Whether the hard drive enters sleep mode after shutdown depends on the chipset solution of the hard drive enclosure itself.

I had to edit my post because most of my issues with the control app seem to have been solved in the latest 5.30 beta and app update.


But, I would still like to see bands who's name start with a number, like "3 doors down" for example, to be shown on top of the a-z list, or alternatively on top of the z-a listing.

 

May I remind you on my old complain that in the iPhone/iPad App the background colour must be black and not getting a colour depending on the cover. This is selectable for the A8 unit screen but not selectable for the iOS app. Maybe I have overseen that it it is selectable in between.
