I guess everyone does it differently I just rip my albums to separate flac tracks. I don't like image/cue files as it's easier to see and manage (at least, for me) As the eversolo doesn't currently recognise the disc tag when it's inside a disc folder it shows each folder as a separate cover. I think it's just a case of asking the eversolo to ignore any folders labelled "Disc" or "CD" and it would be fine as long as the tracks are tagged with disc number. I have my music folder as pictured....
@THXjay You can always name your files <disc number>-<track number>-<title>, tag the files correctly with disc number / total discs, and put them all in one folder... it should then work.
I appreciate there are a few ways around the problem but I have over 6TB of files and a good percentage of them are multi-disc sets. I just wanted to know if eversolo intended to add it to an update before I send a few weeks retagging files
No need for spending weeks... there are command-line tools that can analize your files and rename them according to their tag information, such as mediainfo, or metaflac... you just scan your library with find . -i "*.flac" -ecex <your script doing some work> "{}" \; In your script you invoke mediainfo with options to present album, artist, track number, disc number, total discs from the filename it receives as parameter, compose the new filename, and then rename the original to the new one... easy as pie; if you are a bash nerd, though. Of course, you can wait to see if Eversolo is going to fix the glitces that still affect the device(s), but IMHO a well organized, named and tagged audio library has its benefits, if not others, that of being clean and easily maintainable.
I wouldn't know where to start on all that command line stuff. It hurts my head just trying to read it I'll wait a while and see if eversolo add an update but if not I'll have to do it the hard way plus, I wouldn't trust it not to completely mess up my files and folders.
I wrote one myself, and parsed my 1.5k flac + cue files library in less than 3 minutes (it probably had little to nothing to do, but...). Shall you need I can provide one for you (but you'll need to be on Linux... a VM would do, of course) Cheers, Al.
@mirror @Eki Shaw For the last couple of updates (on the app) I have my images cropped off like this.... I don't see anyone else mentioning this. Just wondered if it is being looked into. I would love to see the artwork bigger as in my examples in this thread but this is obviously a mistake
1.13.48 It's been like this for the last 2-3 updates. It happened just after I requested a larger cover image so I thought it was just a mistake with coding. I've posted images of it before but no-one has said anything.
Would it be possible to show a ‘play queue’ from roon inside the Eversolo Control app? At the moment, it only shows the current track. I mostly use the roon app when listening to music via roon but sometimes it would be nice to also have that info in the Eversolo app.
@Eki Shaw @mirror Can you tell me if there is any plan to change the way multi discs are displayed? If I have a 10 disc set, it shows 10 identical covers in the album view. It just looks messy and you don't even know which one to click on because they are all the same. Could we get the app to just show ONE cover for multi-disc sets please. This would work by just getting the software to ignore and folders called "Disc" or "CD". I have thousands of albums that will need to be completely re-tagged and arranged if you won't be changing this so I would really appreciate an answer either way
Just invested in a Dmp A6 coming from a Novafidelity N25 where I have all my albums organized into folders. I like to make my own compilations so a mixture of artists and albums. Doesn't seem to be a way to just play folders which I am astonished at. Every other system I have used has this facility and a bit of a deal breaker for me. Is there anyway around this?.
Hi yes I had thought about that but I've got 67176 tracks and hundreds of folders and the thought of going through them to make a playlist for each folder doesn't really appeal. Thanks for the reply.

Hi there, TBH, this issue requires significant changes, and our R&D team is still evaluating this feature.
OK, I thought it would be a simple feature, maybe not Do you have any idea when you will make a decision?
I've requested an option to show larger album art in the playlist screen. I see you've added a right-swipe to show lyrics now. Maybe this could be an option to swipe through different layouts. Maybe a left swipe could show larger album cover and still have the tracks on the right.....like this Maybe cycle through various views as I have illustrated previously in this thread?
