Hi Mark. I'm just getting back to this (havent bothered much with the Zidoo) to confirm with 100% certainty that this is a problem with the Zidoo. Maybe it looks fine to you but the Zidoo is stretching all 480 4:3 images. I ripped this series myself a couple weeks ago and I know full well what I'm doing. Maybe you can't see it in your setup but the image is absolutely being stretched. And it looks terrible as a result. Again, Shield plays this NTSC DVD rip flawlessly. I've posted a 1080p 4:3 (last image) for comparison with the 480i rip.

Hello! Hopefully, someone from this forum can help me answer this question. I am trying to figure out how, if possible, to add the making of documentaries of a specific TV show to the poster wall. For example, I have both seasons of Marvel's Loki ripped and on the poster wall. Both of those seasons also came with the Assembled/Making of documentary for the season. I am trying to somehow add that documentary as an additional episode with a different name to each season, similar to how in Movies, I can add names for differing versions like IMAX vs Theatrical in the filename.
Does anyone know if this is even possible, and if so, what to do to make it happen?

First give the original movie the name for example(if its a 4k movie and its a mkv file)
    Black hawk down.(01#4k).mkv
    Then name the documentary:
    Black hawk down.(02#Documentary).mkv
Then you can add more after that:
    Black hawk down.(03#Documentary 2).mkv
And all the "add on"-clips(documentary in this example) will end up together with the original movie in HT.

I think the only solution is to name it with a separate episode number. For example Loki.s01e99.Documentary

This works for movies, but I haven’t found it to work for TV shows.

  8. Can also confirm SEAGATE BARRACUDA 24TB drives work in the UDH8000

  9. Hi folks ... day 3 with the UHD8000 ... whee! Loving it so far, but learning the ropes (obviously).
My question, which I could not re-locate an answer I thought I saw on my iPad on Saturday ... which is:

WHAT is best way to add an unmatched oddball video dvd iso like
Yellow Matter Custard – One Night In New York City (2003)

Can I create a new "title" using the web app; or should I create wrong item, then edit? Or, should I create an .nfo file in new folder and rescan?

REQUEST: A single "pinned" import page/doc/tutorial thread would be so helpful. Took me forever to find note on how to rename stuff like HIGHLANDER to HIGHLANDER Director Cut (only possible with web ui). And took me awhile and a third party video to learn I could use web UI to add something via the IMDB numericals -- like how TMDB is so (ugh) stupid it doesn't know what WALL-E is ? (LOL). Still learning how to enumerate a series DVD for a TV show, and I think I've got that down to determining disc 1 has eps 1,2,3,4, disc 2 has 4,5,6,8 and disc 3 has 9,10 ... but all of these things are super not well documented in one 'pinned' place blocking comments to pollute the "how the heck..." info.

I also get that for some stuff like a Jason Mraz concert that was in TMDB but without an image, I can manually put an image on my server. Seems like having field in web UI to put in a URL to capture would be super useful. (I have not actually yet used the web ui... next on my list tonight.)

And what's up with zidoo abandoning their YouTube channel?

Sorry ... went off on a rant there -- was mainly looking for how to add a random thing not otherwise "matchable."

Feel free to point me at the "here it is, dummy!" page, and I won't be offended. :)
    THANKS!!

  10. Additional: what is the best way to bring in something like the SWARS anti-cheese edits ? I have them as unmatched right now (obviously). Would I make custom collection like FAN EDITS, or possibly STAR WARS CHEESE, and then assign each to the category ? I think problem is if I rematch one to Star Wars (yeah, TMDB has no idea what "A New Hope" is [sigh]) I don't want it grouped or merged with the 'real version' then put in as an 'A' or 'B' ). Is this another example of where I need to do a manual creation in the web UI ... ? Pardon the duh. Once I get over these first steps I can get to phase 2 on the weird stuff in my collection. Thanks again. :)

Trying to determine the level of "what I can do" with web UI without having to move to .nfo files. Tutorial videos here for logged in members in a single thread would be super helpful.

You might find the PDF at the bottom of this thread helpful:

  12. Thanks. Will find the time to go through the 24 pages of the thread, since the PDF link doesn't seem to be at the end of your initial post, unless I'm going blind (possibly before coffee kicks in) :)

at the bottom of the first post / recap post ;)

  15. LOL... yes. Got it! Thanks :)

  16. Hi, okay ... I think I have it for the basic grouping the alt stuff together; assuming stuff like normal edition, director cut.
SO (images just there for my future use; understanding when grouped the will share the primary #1 image in the view; or if there is option for different image for diff version, I presume I can add that via web UI later).

So, for Star Wars prequels, where I have the original theatrical and anti-cheese edits, is this schema correct?
Is a custom name like "Anti-Cheese Edit" usable or only "Special Edition" ?

    Folder: Star Wars Episodes I-III
    /Attack of the Clones
    Episode I - Attack of the Clones.(1#Theatrical Version).mkv
    Episode I - Attack of the Clones.(2#Anti-Cheese Edit).mp4
    Attack of the Clones AntiCheese-poster.jpg
    /The Phantom Menace
    Episode II - The Phantom Menace.(1#Theatrical Version).mkv
    Episode II - The Phantom Menace.(2#Anti-Cheese Edit).mp4
    The Phantom Menace AntiCheese-poster.jpg
    /Revenge of the Sith
Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.(1#Theatrical Version).mkv
Episode III - Revenge of the Sith.(2#Anti-Cheese Edit).mp4
    Revenge of the Sith AntiCheese-poster.jpg
    //

And the simpler ones I get this is the correct format:
(again, is "director cut" usable or only "special edition")
    /THE EXORCIST
    The Exorcist.(1#Theatrical Version).mkv
    The Exorcist.(2#Director Cut).mkv
    /DARK CITY
    Dark City.(1#Theatrical Version).mkv
    Dark City.(2#Director Cut).mkv

    THANK YOU! :)

  17. Hello again. Thanks for putting up with my first time out stuff.
OKAY: still confused on how to properly sort series discs, which I have as ISOs but have long since sent to relatives or pals over the past 15 years.

SO, here is example of where I'm stuck on how to do this stuff properly (and yes, my "per show, per episode" stuff all comes in just fine; it's the series discs I'm stumped on)....

Take S1-D1 for PLANET EARTH (BBC); Blu-ray, has 3 episodes.
So, if I go to rematch, find the data in tvdb with right cover; then click on the file name and add episodes 1,2,3, then OK; saves.
However when I go to DOCUMENTARIES > Planet Earth and launch it, there is only [3] and no [1] and [2]. While I.can just launch the blu-ray to pick an episode, I feel I am missing some basic practice on this which is obvious to long time zidoo HT4/5 users.

What is the fundamental thing I am missing here?

On the face of it, seems like it would be way more obvious to have a box to just type in xx episodes. Esp if a disc had 6 episodes, simply being able to type in "6" vs having to do 1, save, 2, save, 3, save, 4, save. Again, I have a sense I'm totally off track.

Is this even the right way -- I mean, should I go back grab my HDD put it in a dock, and start "extracting stuff" from the .iso to three files in a folder type thing? Will that even work properly?

    THANK YOU.

The usual convention is to label files with multiple episodes as:
Show Name (1999) S02E03-E04 Title of double episode.mkv
    or sometimes
    Show Name (1999) S02E03 S02E04 Title of double episode.mkv

Unfortunately the Zidoo software does not recognise either of these variants and will only show an entry for the first episode. I'm not sure if there is a fundamental design limitation that does not allow one file to be associated with multiple entries.

@Zidoo Support-Kim Can we please request an enhancement to support files with multiple TV episodes in one file?

Not only this series enhancement but also for a simple movie title matching procedure. Many times you need to match manually although the title is the same and (year). It happens more frequently in other language than English such as Spanish.
