    Hi, Lone!

Can you explain for what purpose you made this video? Just for use ext player in KODI?
After update ZDMC you still need this customization?

    Hi Lony, thanks again!
Tested root batch, it runs ok until end (and X9S reboots), but no root neither SuperSU app available.
Also SuperSU from Google Play is not installable.
Maybe depends on very old binary included?

    I'm not a newbie.
So I read root batch and understood how it obtain root access (not sure about the recovery it try to install).
Anyway your batch is a piece of cake, very easy to use. And shows if an error occur. The only pity is the german language, but is for german people!

OK, I'll verify root with a root checker.

    Sorry for the misanderstanding!
    Absolutely I don't think so!
My english is not good enough, and may be I've used wrong word.
My misinterpret about your phrase "I dont know what are you doing" was exaggerated.

Checked root, you are right, my X9S result rooted.

But if I try to install SuperSU or SuperSU Pro from Google Play, both don't install (error 506, if I remember right).
Tried another way downloading SuperSU APK, and then installing it, result is an error (no more space available). Very strange.
Using Zidoo preinstalled "APK Installer" results in "app installed" , but SuperSU app don't appears in the app list neither after a reboot.

I bought SuperSU Pro, so I like to install the Pro version and to have the relevant management interface.
I like to have, not I want. I'm not whining ;)

Until now this kind of root installation don't ask authorization to grant app root access or not.
So is not blocking at all, but someone other could complain about for security reason.

If there is a way to correct my situation, any advice is welcome!

    Thanks anyway!

    Hi Lony,
I'm technical but not an expert with rooting. Could you please tell me step by step how to root the device, once I have your ROOT_via_LAN_5.1.1 file ?
    Preferably in English :)

    Thank you!

    @GoldBar

Unpack the Root File on your Computer and start the Batch File (bat) and when it comes the Screen press enter.

It comes IP : here write your IP from X9s and press Enter

It s nothing to do, when it finished it comes a Message in German "Bitte Fenster schließen" or so, and close the Window.

The X9s makes a Boot automaticly and Root are present ;-)

    Thats all :D:D

    Hi Lony,

We can already set the posters of movies on KODI and play the movies from internal media player at the same time without Wrapper. I wonder that what is the Wrapper's advantage ? Why we need it ?

    Can you explain basically ?

    Thanks,

    Not in Wrapper !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Wrapper is for SMB Rights. and Mounting the Shares. - When you have for KODI 1 NAS with ip 192.168.178.11 and a PC with 192.168.178.12 you make two ntwork connections under KODI and scan the Films.

Password and User must be the same by both hardware.

that was the question - horror that you do not read what we write

in kodi this is old stuff and basic knowledge!!

but how can we give in wrapper two different sources the rights to play?
    that has been the question?!?
