What's your HDMI chain? I think I barely had stutters on 1.1.70 I think it was (not sure) but since 1.2.01 and 1.2.05 there's more of them in LLDV. DV passthrough always had bad stutters.

 

4k movies/TV series is usb hdd to Z30 8k / denon 3700h /fancyled hdmi2.1 synch box /Panasonic Oled
1080p tv is SMB to an HDD on my Mesh USB port (now ,used to be smb to PC )
Right from the first f/w ,ive had none of the stutter , or audio out of synch by 150-250ms a few ppl have had

I dont use HT just the base media player app
I also have framerate and aspect matching set to none / graphics is 2160p @ 24 hz / Audio is Raw

Also for last 2-3 weeks ive had a wifi power controller with the PSU powerbrick plugged in ,so when im finished watching ,i tell Echo to turn off the Living Room and the zidoo is totally power isolated ....seems to make hdmi hanshaking more reliable ,im finding

 

I updated, and now have stuttering issues one dolby vision movie (Transformers 5), and still can't play FURY uhd iso. I'm kinda disappointed in this regard.

 

have you tried extracting the iso out to BDSM format ,to play it that way ? just to confirm the file structures intact

 

Good morning, the exact same thing happened to me, HDMI resyncs (I didn't have them before with other firmware). I've removed the HDCP to see if it works properly.

 

Waiting for two months, None of the bugs I submitted have been fixed, so disappointed. Come on the Zidoo devs.

 

As others also said, I don't like the change at the Posterwall interface. The black background is too intrusive and penalizes the Fanart of the films. In addition, the display time of the film overlaps with the word "director" in a disordered way (I attach an image) I hope they can solve or give the opportunity to change this option.

 

Until this update, the poster wall was one of the most beautiful interfaces. Unfortunately, they messed it up.

I'm still waiting for fixes for previous problems and bugs. Including the mcblunas dbtool update. Until then, my main player is still the Z9X Pro.

 

Disappointedly as no improvement to my issues

DTS out of sync - still there
HDMI resyncs - had this last night.
DV stutter on TV Led passthrough - I think I am seeing this. More testing required
Loss of sound with lossy DD 5.1 - still present.
Certain BD's won't open to menu - still happens

I know this firmware was mainly to fix video freeze and standby issues. But still disappointing that none of my issues have been addressed in any way.

Every time I play a 1080p or some 4k movie for just a few seconds and exit from the HT app, the green label (FHD) disappears and I have to refresh the metadata to appear again.

Finally I'd to download it from McBluna site as the new beta fw wasn't received in my area.
It's highly recommended to hard reset (power off/on) the box after the update, in order to avoid freezes, playback doesn't start or missing posters/fanarts/genre windows from NAS source.
It's been not much improvements from previous fw except the freezes and some aesthetic changes in the poster wall that i think it needs to be refined.

 

I ask myself this simple question: with all the important problems that have been afflicting these media players for months, what need the developers had to modify (worse) the posterwall interface? I hope this can give a starting point for reflection for the Zidoo team.

Yes, this is a general issue for loading an incomplete data in poster wall, say: missing tags, empty genre windows, empty posters, missing fan arts and empty background images of the movies and TV series.

Also I've noticed a longer HDMI resync of black screen.

 

May I ask how this problem presents itself please? For example is it random whilst playing a film and if that is the case what file format? Thanks

 

Simply switching off/on the back button or disconnecting the power cable.

 

To take a clip, use MKVToolnix, go to the Output tab and set Split mode to "Byparts based on timestamps" and set the start and stop points in the format hh:mm:ss-hh:mm:ss.

So in the below example that will take a clip from 2 minutes to 4 minutes, keeping DV if it's there:



So for your Chronicles clip you'd set say 00:32:10-00:32:11 to give a minute clip.
