Was hoping for improved menu support especially with DVD. Maybe next time...

 

Was hoping fixing the up/down buttons that don't change subtitles delay when assigned... Next time...

 

I thought the DV metadata was embedded in the video file so why does it make a difference where it's processed or read?

 

We've all been waiting for an update with a DVD/Bluray menu. Is it so difficult for Zidoo engineers to solve this? I have an old Zidoo Z10, it runs everything perfectly, DVD/Bluray/Bluray audio menu. I'm talking about a device from 6 years ago.

 

It doesn't really, but I can understand why people would want their TVs to do it if possible.

As I say, these options just give everyone a choice.

 

I hate to admit it, but you're right.

I don't remember the 1296 models' performance with DVD/BD menus, but the old 1295 model's performance was so good that, at the time, Zappiti stole the code and used it on their 1295 players.

BD Menu performance was also way better in the pre release 8K devices, so I'm not sure what happened...

Completely agreed. The case for the Spanish is really funny, maybe 70% and 30% English. I’m afraid devs got other more important issues to solve than language.

 

This is something very strange. I had about 10 full4k movies in iso that didn't work, well with this latest update 4 work, the remaining 6 don't. Does anyone understand this??
For the rest everything worked perfectly. I'm very happy with the z9x 8k.

I have exactly the same, looks like it's not available yet. Yes beta box is ticked

 

My Z9 8X updated last night after hours of no update showing up. Did a reboot and when I restarted the option to update showed up automatically.

 

I'm still unable to play this file with firmware 1.1.60

Hi, I just hit play on the iso files that I have and a message appears saying it can't play. After updating to 1.60, some isos that didn't work now work and others don't. It's strange, it doesn't make much sense.

funny, on the Dune forum it was one of your fav discussion subjects I wonder, have you checked the ping home / internet traffic already?

Oh well... At least it is good to see that the 928 model already has more FW updates compared to the 'pro' model.

 

Can confirm - fails to play for me also. Starts, black screen and after 2 seconds quits back to UI.

EDIT: tried again and it played OK. Weird.
