UHD3000: DTS HD HRA 7.1

Just realized that this audio format just played DTS 5.1. (RAW, pass through)

Is it possible to fix it with the next firmware?

I can only think that the amp doesn't support HRA - if you set audio the RAW it just passes the bitstream without touching it so it's not a case of supporting HRA or not - the Zidoo couldn't care less what it is.

This is from my amp (Denon) with the Zidoo playing a DTS-HD HRA file:

 

I don't think so that my amp doesn't support as I have tried with my Oppo 205 and works perfect, only with Zidoo UHD3000 doesn't. The amp is a Pioneer SC LX901. So have no idea why....

If file have more that one audio track, try to switch between them and then see if are play correct.

 

Not knowing the UHD3000, but maybe it has an "5.1 downmix" switch enabled.
And/or a "Native sample rate" switch disabled.

 

No it is working perfect. The file has problems.

And Zidoo has the problem that it may add 2-channels in info. So it says 3.1 but in fact is just mono or say 7.1 but it is 5.1 which is very confusing.

It is on my list for a long time.

Fully agree with you. I had to explain to a french user the same thing this week because he thought that there was an issue with the Zidoo and the DTS-HD MA tracks. And he was no the first complaining about that...

 

Mono would be 1.0. Adding 2 channels would give 3.0.
Do I understand correctly that info-screen also adds ".1" LFE channel?

 

I don't think so, but I am not very sure.
