Trying to add 5 Drives from PC over SMB - Need Help

Ordered the device but its gonna take a month for it to arrive from Italy lols Thankfully I have SMB working on PC for the time being so I am not missing much.

 

@Nice Monkey So I got the device yest. but turns out Oppo will still only recognize 3 HDDs (out of 5) when connected to usb 3.0 connection on the back
I connected the enclosure on the one input side and connected Oppo to one of the two output sides. Am I doing something wrong?

 

Frankly never tried to use more than 2 HDD mounted with OPPO. All media players support many more.

Keep in mind OPPO never was meant to do this kind of things. Use my OPPO hardly these days The only thing it does extra is playing DVD-Audio which I don't have that many.
Use it mainly as a reference player to check if something works on a real disc player.

 

Well shucks, I wish I knew that limitation before ordering. Will see if I can return it and stick with SMB for now.

 

Will give it a try this evening with 5x HDD.
