The NAS kit for ZIDOO X9 Release(update to 1.0.7)

As what we have always stressed, our R&D team have been working to improve our uesers experience, adding useful functions.
This is an extended suite only for ZIDOO X9. You can put ZIDOO X9 expanded into a simple NAS device with this suite. It's entirely based on Linux developed. You can use it, or not. It's up to you.
Functions:Buid in Samba server,FTP server,SSH(Dropbear),Aria2,Transmission
Support Remote management by web.

This looks awesome! Can you also include remote SMB/NAS shares in this interface? IE: the ability to Run Transmission on the router, but save the data to a remote SMB? Something like bookmarks, or persistent network drives? What about enabling SSH or Telnet for interacting with the system?

Is there a way that the NAS service starts automatically at each X9's boot?

 

Hi,you can rename the /opt/etc/init.d/smbstart filename to "S90smbstart",then reboot x9,It will be starts automatically NAS server
or wait our new version the following monday

I've put a 32GB SDCard in the X9, and it is correctly recognized by the X9.
But it seems it can't be accessed from my PC through the NAS service.
Do you confirm it is not possible, or do I something wrong?

I even try with the 1.0.7, I can access from my PC to the internal storage (/sdcard), to the usb stick (/usb/sda1), but not to the added sdcard (/ext_sd)

It looks like files copied from/to USB devices connected to the X9, to/from a PC through the NAS service, get corrupted.
I copied video files, recorded on an USB drive connected to the X9, to my PC and they were not playable.
If I do the same from the X9 internal SDCard, there is no problem.
If I play the video files on my PC directly from the USB drive, they play correctly.
I also copied files to the USB drive connected to the X9, from my PC through the NAS service, and they also were not playable.
Does someone have the same problem?

 

may be you should wait the file sync complete

Since I've instelled the firmware 1.0.3.5, the nas service doesn't work anymore.
Each time I try to start it, I got the message "NAS service fail to start".
I installed the nas software again, but it still doesn't work.

Since 1.0.3.5 update i cant connect to FTP service anymore. Service is running normally, but when i try to connect with fpt client to zidoo, it gives me error (in filezilla):

500 OOPS: cannot locate user entry:root
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

I have tried to reinstall 1.07 apk but same error, even with different ftp clients - same thing.

What should i do?

I have already. But FTP service still doesn't works. NAS and Transmission services are working fine after this MTvMisc1.apk, but with FTP still same problem...

 

Anyone from tech support? Is there no any kind of new updated apk Nas Kit?
