Arrived safely today thank you Zidoo Team Zidoo X20 Been a little busy work wise but just unpacked and a few photo’s of unit Reset hole between hdmi ports note . Remote i compared with X10 remote and the buttons are bigger and ruberised center direction button is all in one section and a learning remote which takes 3 x triple AAA batteries is bluetooth and ir also . The X20 is heavy unit about the same size as an Oppo 93 blu ray player approx and very well made and finished . Power lead is a 3 pin kettle lead as seen in photo and the 4 x underneath feet are of a alloy silver finish with ruberised / foam at bottom . Will have a play later on and report . Attached Files:
1 Noticeable banding issues on Blade Runner 2049 in 1080p opening sequence 2-5 mins in etc Not noticeble as such on X10 same settings . 2 After setting to 1080p 60hz reverts to 720p after reeboot confirmed bug . 3 Short cut power / standby button on home screen be great . Need addressing Thank you .
it seems there is only a new FW for X20, not for X20 PRO About banding i found something and i think there is a problem with their HDMI range option. in fact there is a probleme since the Fw 1.4.12, when zidoo added HDMI range option and that goes on with the x20....
Welcome papirus Can you check mine seems to default back to 720p ? When ive clearly set to 1080p 60hz and powered in to standby ............
@DELUCAS Did you make any tests with the 17.6.1 ZDMC regarding quality playback of local video files? Auto frame rate switching, HD Audio, 4K, etc...
No not had a chance been busy and hosting car show next week ... Will have a look tonight . Been getting odd messages like Oliver QC [ not responding will close etc ] Needs more testing and updates by the looks of things .
If you can confirm that the SD/DVD aspect ratio bug is fixed, it would be nice. Did they add any aspect ratio/scaling options this time? Thanks!
Could the owners comment on the heat and above all the noise produced (fan + HDD´s) using dual HDD´s inside? The X10 is relative good at that. How does X20 compare here? For a top Music Player noise made by the box itself is crucial.

Presuming we will be going Android 7.1 very soon Will fixing issues on 6.1 etc be a waist of time or are they easily transfered on to 7.1 as kinda on the same written software as such ? As 7.1 will bring its on bugs id imagine . So start a fresh on Android 7.1 and go from there . [ if we are going there very soon ] Or is written / resolved software easily ported over to the new O/S ?
Hello My x20 has not arrived yet. But I'm interested in which hard drives you recommend to the device, if browsing the covers in HT and ZDMC is smooth and scrolling the films forward, the back is smooth?
