Only started having problems the last 6 months, and on the Zidoo ZX S, non of these problems at all.

Is it possible to put pop-up info / Fast Forward / Rewind displays inside a 2.35 image area? These can play havoc with an image processor like MadVR when displayed with 2.35 content.

I followed the advice on naming convention to get my posters pre-downloaded etc. and it work like a charm but not so much for TV series.

Do we know what art files with what naming mask are correct usage for TV series?

    Thanks

In the scraping options in HT5 I set TMDB for movies and TVDB for TV series. I use Sonarr for getting my TV series and I set naming to '{Series Title}.S{season:00}E{episode:00} - {Episode Title}'. This works well. For example 'Westworld.S01E01 - The Original.mkv'

It's a while ago, but I posted a bug report in 2022 where TV Series would not use local images for posters (fanart worked).

I don't recall it ever being fixed.

    Thanks,

I should have been more specific. Naming convention for episodes works well for me but ART files are not picked up correctly. I hope that there is an additional ART-filename for series cover and for season covers etc. As atm my pre-downloaded ones are not picked up by Zidoo correctly.

AH ok that explains a lot.

I just thought that maybe there are different filenames for Series that I should be using as the structure of scrapping is a bit different and then in the movie wall etc.

Funnily enough. TV Series arts were the only ones that I picked manually :D and these are the only ones that seem not to work as expected :D

I can still select local ART files in Zidoo interface for each series but that would of course not stick for my other Zidoo...

I re-read the first post but I did not see any info about extras handling.

When I rip my discs, for some, I would like to also rip extras to separate number of MKVs.

What naming convention should I adopt to make it work with Zidoo HT5 - what are the best practices here or your strategies guys?

    Thanks

I would use the A, B, C custom box feature. EX: movie name(1#main movie), movie name(2# special features) movie name(3#stunts)... and so on. Just put a hashtag in front of whatever description you want to use for the extra feature that you are ripping. Use the numbers of 1, 2, 3... to put the boxes in the order you prefer.

So on example of "Chernobyl.S01E01.1080p.tt7366338.87108.mkv" (my naming convention) to add extra I would just do:

    Chernobyl.#6Extras.tt7366338.87108.mkv?

For 5 episodes series, can I just start at #6 and not to add any previous hash tags to previous episodes which are picked up correctly?

    Thanks

I have only ever used the custom box feature for movies and their special features and extras... not for tv series. You may have to just experiment a bit.

I did. For Series it is just easier to name Extras as additional episodes as tagging did not work.

For movies I tested on one and run into some bizarre problems so have to test with another.

This may not be quite what you are looking for, but for TV series extras I check TMDB under "Season 0". Quite often I find the extras listed there so I tag them as such. This gives me a "Season 0" poster with the extras listed under it.

My movies collection poster is always picked from posters of one of the movies in the collection and when I try to swap it for something else it offer me no alternatives. Always an empty alternative box. I can only pick up a different one from local resources but I don't have any.

Is this a bug? Why is not downloading something nice for a collection.

Is there an ART file name that we could supply to be picked up?

    And a strange one.

On my Z1000 Pro when I want to manually change TV Series poster I have what seems like an infinite choice of never ending scrolling posters, while on my UHD 3000 I have selection of maybe 6-7 per each series? :D

It looks like the two use different online sources for the pictures library or that UHD 3000 is missing some of the online libraries from the list that Z1000Pro has hard coded? I went through the options of both and I did not see any way to define online libraries of Artwork.

Both running current publicly available HT5 FW.

    Any idea?

    Hi Mark, I have a Z9X and a Sony XW5000,
I use the SDR REC 709 since a few days and it’s realy cool but I feel like the black is a little bit grey, Even with a SDR content (wich I don’t convert in VS10…)
I only convert the DV and the HDR in VS10 for the moment.
I set the Zidoo to 16-235 and the Sony in auto.
    Did I miss something ?
    Thank again for your help,

    jeremy.
