This is not true.
Only 4:3 function is working. The functions "full screen" and "16:9" doesn't work.
AND it's still impossible to enlarge the image when watching movies (first of all 4K and 3D movies) to avoid black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.

So, when will be the new firmware for X20 PRO with the option of the zoom of the image (no matter the name of function - or "aspect ratio" or "zoom", or "+/-")?

How many weeks or months or maybe years need to wait when Zidoo fix this bug of its firmware?!!

 

It works for me, i'm be able to change proportions on some videos from onscreen menu, the release says Beta, if some one of us update with this version will need to feedback to Zidoo can fix the issues, i think this version its a great improvement and it dont passed much time since last update, there is a real interest in make X20 Pro a great media machine, but we need to trust, software development its not a breeze, (my 2 cents)

 

when you select SACD Iso file it plays on Music 3.0 but dont show the list of songs it only plays the entire album, but if you add it to the library you can select individual songs, it does not happened on the Music 2 version.

when i tried to add to library multiple albums from a folder (Sacd Iso files) the app crashes

Did you tested this on blu-ray, 4k, 3d movies namely?
I did it and the screen changes on 4:3 position only.

 

Version 3.0 does not support CUE sheets yet.

 

is there anyway to set/customize music player 3.0 scrapping like in Kodi? it made my music a mess

 

It is absolutely dead and useless function. It works on rips (720, 1080 p only), not working with Blu-Ray, 4K and 3d movies, there is work 4:3 only.

But it’s impossible to understand why Zidoo added these options because of they work as stretching only. As a result, we have the image with unnatural proportions.

Still no scaling, still impossible to enlarge the image when watching movies (first of all 4K and 3D movies) to avoid black bars on the top and bottom of the screen.


So, I repeat my questions to Ziddo - when will be the new firmware for X20 with the option of the zoom of the image (no matter the name of function - or "aspect ratio" or "zoom", or "+/-")?

For about a week I am the proud owner of a ZIDOO X20 Pro as I am also a music lover.
I know that the development of devices of this kind requires a lot of time, knowledge and diligence. I would like to do my part as far as I can.

Right at the beginning I have the beta firmware 1.7.8 installed and compared with the previous version. A HUGE progress - great!

What is not bad for me, is that the german language translation of the menu is missing. But I would like to translate the language in german language.
Where can I find the language file in the system to be able to edit it? How can I access it?

Constructive criticism:

What I noticed so far with the music player 3.0:
I bought the X20 Pro because I'm a big music lover (technical stuff of the X20 Pro).
My music collection includes about 800 folders and a total of 70,000 titles.

• When indexing or scanning music files using the "Add Folder" option, the music player crashes after scanning approximately 10,000 files (exits on its own).

• Backing up the indexed music files - just like the poster wall, would be very handy.

• An option to disable the "Lyric function" would be very welcome.

....i had the same experience with my x20. The Firmware of all RTD1296 Zidoo Players need some MASSIVE Rework, before the box is usable.

 

... which does not work and what is still missing in firmware v1.7.8

• Very often wrong posters for various films are awarded. Deleting or editing the wrong posters would be very desirable. Sometimes pornographic images are displayed for harmless films - I have a problem with my children !!!

• Newly added BD-ISO are not recognized and displayed in the PosterWall - despite repeated folder updates.

• For almost every movie you have to adjust the aspect ratio. A global setting or automatic recognition of aspect ratios is missing

• I can not read the entire music collection (70000 files). After about 10000 files, the music crashes player 3. Partly nice sooner.

 

Enter the IP of your player and port 9528 in your web browser on a computer which is on the same network than your zidoo player.
As i dunno how savvy you are with network, I explain the basics:
You find the IP of your player under settings>network
Once you know it you just enter this ip followed by the port.
you would for ex enter http://192.432.12.354:9528

There you can very easily edit whatever poster or data you need.
