New firmware v1.0.27 for ZIDOO X6 release

When we talk about it, I want to be more specific infomations. In order to we can more accurately locate the problem and solve it.what is the "some movies"?

 

Abc 24 live channel on (catchup au repository)
Kidsflix add-on movies 1 page
Last 3d movies of the page
Codes enabled black fades only audio
Disabled codec works

 

For example it happens with some episodes from Homeland and Downton Abbey.
You need media info?
Strange is that i see something like a pop up warning behind those fades but fades are fast and i cant read. Fadea are not random, i rewind and play normally and occurs in the same spot.

Also TrueHD/Atmos tracks works fine in Kodi, but with media center and mx player pro sound is popping/crackling and after 10-15 seconds no more sound.

 

Everytime that am installing a repository on kodi
Kodi stop working ( not freezing ) have someone find the fix for this issue


And a question for the team zidoo
If kodi quite / stop working /
or powered off I can't restart again the kodi never load again ( Clear cache + Stop app ) The only way is
Reboot the device

 

i can confirm that Kodi freezes-stops working when I am trying to install an addon from a repository (e.g. Fusion repo added through file manager), install from zip file procedure.

On my Zidoo x6 pro I see the firmware version is 1.0.19, and on zidoo page are information that the latest release is 1.0.27. So i try Online update button, but box returning message that the system is up to date ??? Is it online update work or not ? How to fix it ? I do not want to update my box via computer.

 

Put firmware on usb stick and use upgrade local, below online. Select your stick and proceed.

You can Update via USB memory stick! very easy...just download the 1.0.27 file on a USB memory stick and update form it... on OTG USB port on Zidoo X6

can confirm this issue. after installing repos in kodi, box freezes and a reboot is required.
i think, the modified kodi zidoo uses is responsible

 

Unfortunately, my deadline to return the box (14 days) expires in 2 days.
So... i have to ( make a) move fast.
Dont get me wrong, i love this nice box.
But i had a bad experience with another box/brand before this.

 

I have same issue, where is the option to disable codec/video acceleration?

 

System/Video/ Acceleration and disable rockchip codec.
For me, this solved black fades but trashes my truehd movies.
So disable/enable all the day!

 

I found it but it doesn't solved issue at the moment.
Maybe can I downgrade firmware?

 

I can't play H265 video. Only audio comes out.
Second issue, which was already there in version 24... fast forward and rewind in kodi does not work for video files.

 

I must be lucky because I tried 2 h.265 shows from flash drive and plays with audio in sync. Haven't noticed any issue with Kodi either.

Testing v27 with Kodi player - every MKV movie I stream locks up and kicks me out to the menu after about 20 minutes of play. When I try to resume the video it locks up about every 4 to 5 minutes thereafter. On the brighter side, the sync seems to be getting better.
