Bizarre Issue: Missing Movie in Second Player

It's nuts is what it is!!!

 

Maybe the box just doesn't like pirates

 

As long as this doesn't happen with future movies, I can live with the one movie not being on the Z9X Pro. Like you, I would love to get to the bottom of the issue, but in the end, it won't impact my enjoyment of my two Ziddoos.

Here's a thought - you obviously have the Samba server switched on on the 5000 - have you changed the server name on at least one of the boxes?

As far as I remember, the server name is the same on all boxes and that can cause unexpected results on a network depending how shares are accessed.

Can't see how it could possibly cause this problem, but it's worth a go.

 

I have Samba switched "on" on the 5000, but I don't believe it is "on" for the Z9X Pro, as I don't have an HDD on the Pro to share on the network.

 

I've been successful at fixing many of the issues with the movie wall. I even had some Tv shows in the movie collection...even thought they are in the TV folder. I have all the seasons of the Tv show Archer. But I have a season that created it's own poster art. So 2 Archers are side by side on the wall. I don't see how to combine those 2 to make them 1? I also wanted to add some of my own posters for artwork...but don't see a way to do that on my computer? And lastly, I see you can adjust some of the metadata, but I need to fix some 1080p to 4K, and some audio formats that are wrong. I don't see a place to fix that either? Thanks

 

Does anyone have issue with the 4k banners on movies. I had turned that off. And started to change posters myself. Then today, I decided it was easier to let the banner back....but the player keeps hanging up. I've had to restart twice already.
