Beta version v6.4.62 for Z9X/Z10 Pro/Z1000 Pro/UHD3000 release

I am adding music to the music app. I noticed, similar to the movies, when you scroll to fast through the library the app crashes.
I normally do not do it, but I was checking if my music was added correctly. In normal use you probably will not have this happen.

 

Meanwhile, in other news for the BTD 1619DR owners....

 

FYI... last nights viewing had no crashes or problems at all with my automatic local trailer playback turned OFF... Selected trailer playback manually to play in its own window and browsed and stopped and started other files... no issues. .. thus far.

 

Ok - interesting. Ever since I said I'd try and figure out what's going on here I haven't had a single crash... Typical.

 

if you raise the start time of the trailer start..risk of crash lowers also

 

Really? I usually set 5s and occasionally if they annoy me, 10s.

 

OK, so you are noticing that the crashing is also tied to automatic trailer playback? What happens when you turn your automatic playback OFF? Or do you see other crashes unrelated to the automatic trailer playback as well?

 

I put them on 10 now.
If a trailer wanted to start just while i start to scroll ( think on 3sec?) it crashes more regular

 

I have it on auto. I have to see if I can try it with off.

 

Since the recent update, the TVDB scraper does not work. I have tried to re-match 6 or 7 shows with TVDB and it looks like it is working cause it takes a while, but then just uses TMDB again. After matching with TVDB all my episodes still have TMDB thumbnails. I know this cause I checked them online and on both sites and the episode thumbnails are different.

 

I have a problem whit tv series. Wen I play a episode it plays 2 minutes then skips to the next episode and it continues the hole time

Somebody have a solution

 

possible file name issue? Change the name to something slightly different (and leave out any non-standard characters) and see what happens?

 

With your particular problem, you are better off starting your own thread about it instead of bundling it in this firmware update thread....

 

hmm, i assume most of the programmers are busy with the new model, so any FW updates on this model are now on hold? since i would expect a new FW with the updated HT.

 

Zidoo is now like Xiaomi. The range of products has been increased so much that programmers do not have time to write software for all product lines.

 

And you know this, how? Or are you like many others, who love to always post negative assumptions and speculation without a shred of actual inside information?

 

New F/w will come. The Devs are spread a bit thin at the mo (as to be expected, and predicted)...but, it will arrive, just give them a bit of space whilst they get to grips with the new'ish SOC.

 

I think you should first perfect a product before launching a new one, which will then probably have the same teething problems as the previous one

if I buy a device for over 1000 €, like the Neos or UHD 3000 and it has such teething problems, I would love to smack them over the head

 

Yeah, they're too busy trying to make new products that nobody needs without fixing the last product that's riddled with issues and they expect us to buy the next one when it does not have much to offer yet...... there are serious issues that have been ignored for years for f sake!!!!!!!

They couldn't even wait for the new chipset apparently, so when that new chip comes out the new Zidoo boxes coming will be obsolete very quickly.

 

Well, the current HT has some issues. For exemple, if you press home after watching a tv/film show ( and you do not exit HT by pressing back twice a few times) , i see that when you start HT again, it has to rebuild the main HT screen again.
Also. if i look at the new model FW forum, there is a lot of work to be done to get the basic bugs out. And that can take at least a year to get it smooth.

So yes, if you buy some over 500 € machine, one would only do that if you work things out before releasing a new model. And yes, that makes them in the end nothing more than just another MP brand, and you end up with the Nvidia.
