Indeed, and that's why I used it. An official firmware release also 'shouldn't' brick your device, but occasionally they do. Similarly an internal test version is not of unknown provenance (they are from the Eversolo sever) and shouldn't brick you device as it is being distributed to testers to verify functionality, and bricking their devices would be an issue. It could certainly remove functions that you might be reliant on so just like you I wouldn't advise it, but as in my circumstance I have a non-usable device then I am happy to take that risk. I think we are vigorously agreeing here ;-)
Well, I did the latest beta update and everything is back to normal, exceptional firmware full of new features (TuneIn, native podcasts), thanks Mc Bluna

Still an internal chinese test version but far more elaborated. Expect something to be released formally this week. Some promised/announced items on the list though.
Just plugged my A6 back in to see if my m3u playlists work now that the latest beta v1.3.18 says its capable of importing m3u playlists. Indeed it now sees my playlists and imports them but says they are all empty. Also found that outputting via coax to ext dac, volume is a lot lower. Normal listing vol on my amp is 9 oclock before beta, now after beta i have to ramp it up to 11 oclock. Back to my Node for now. Probably wait for the Node Icon at christmas and trade in the A6.
It is a "test" version. Nobody claims it to be working yet. Are those playlist using local reference paths? Not full paths? It is known Eversolo had that limitation in the past with playlists. But good to have your test results for Eversolo staff.
# 31 sounds huge - wonder what this exactly means? can you still play hi-res lossless and Dolby Atmos as well? or is this function "limited" in any way?
Had to add .txt to end of file so that i could upload. All files are stored on my Nas and have no problems playing on pc/node/phone/tv.
Just installed the v1.3.20 firmware. I didnt need to change anything in my .m3u files for it to import and start playing.
From what I see nothing special added! Chromecast still not added....better support for services like Amazon and Apple..even though those 2 aren't my favourite..should be moving OS to Android 14. I was reading from the changes noted above the thread. I just checked my unit and it's updating to new version as we speak, let you know later if I notice anything worth mentioning.
while it is nice that Apple now has integrated support, it is quite a disappointment to see it does not support hi-res lossless. it seems to be capped to 44.1 and you do get this notification when you login to your apple music account. in case I am doing something wrong or have misunderstood something, please let me know.
The built-in service has a better operating experience, but this is not a promised feature, and the highest quality is 44.1KHz. If you need higher sound quality, please use the official Apple Music APP
chromocast is related to Google services for which you have to pay for a license, so there will be no such service and let's end this boredom about Android 14 because it is not needed for anything in the player
So did the update , logged into Apple Music. No more Apple Music high resolution option? I hope this isn’t the case . I bought the Eversolo because it has this option.
Thanks I just figured that out. Hopefully at some point they can make it work with internal one work that way too.
