No back tracking, just don't want anyone to think that any of the "next generation" or " new and improved"...blah blah blah will be night and day differences. With the latest update, even purists, in both the video or audio space will be VERY hard pressed to find any meaningful difference in quality.

I come from a background of MadVR, and constant tweaking for over 8 years (yes, I know that's PQ, but also spent the same amount of time dealing with sanear audio renderer.....)....I'm still in awe with my Z1000pro....

EDIT - Yeah, I didn't read the title in full. Yep, it's a DAC....my bad (embarrassed)....but, my point is still valid. Right, off to crawl back into my Sunday cave....and NOT check my emails and get distracted....

 

I come from a background of Audio since the mid-sixties Garrard/Leak et etc days - a far cry from today's digital era

Not Roon Ready?

 

It's a DAC.

 

In changes your Z9X, Z10 Pro or Z1000 Pro into a UHD3000+ equivalent model regarding audio.
Obviously ROON ready then.

Despite having an OLED front panel this is not making it a Neo S. No Music Player on that panel just for control and audio stream info.

 

I have just bitten the bullet and ordered an EverSolo DAC-Z8, albeit on a 10 day Back-Order. It'll be interesting to compare with my Gustard X-16

 

It's a nice bit of kit - very well built, well laid out inside as usual (of course I took the lid off immediately!), and according to the reviews I've seen, rather good!



Build is rock solid with 5mm aluminium chassis and 5mm aluminium case.

 

Any mention on cost yet?
