Good review. The outcome frankly does not surprise me. Already guessed DAC Z8 would be great value for money. Would be nice to compare it with Neo Alpha (and Neo ).
I received my Z-8 today with fantastic service from Futeko.com in the UK. Very happy and impressed so far! Replacing an already very good Grace M9xx from ca. 2016, there isn't a massive step up, but I am confident that it sounds better with more detail. As reported by others, the build quality is superb and the UI is great.
Welcome to the forum. Yes I too agree that this is a very good piece of kit. I'm coming from a Gustard X-16 and the Z8 is a step up, most definately.
Yes they do. As a few members have already said bigger ones would be great - especially for me as I sit appx 3 meters away when listening to my music. Are you thinking of getting one @Nice Monkey ? The EverSolo app is pretty good too to control everything via your tablet or phone
Definitely not but a DMP-08 could be a tempting product (e.g. 6 inch OLED). Obviously it is not even being announced yet (just the DMP-06) .
Hi @rozel While late to the party and not a Harmony solution. I find it very convenient to use the EverSolo App in the App Store. The app gives you complete control over all the settings and some additional information screens. The source in page gives you the bitstream data in realtime. So if you have a iPad or iPhone the app is a good substitute for lack of Harmony integration. I use the Harmony System and soon both of us will be seeking a new universal remote solution.
