Sorry I don't use it to watch TV. I use cameras etc. to make shows for others to watch on TV's and just use the X9 as a recorder. The folks at Zidoo have done a splendid job of upgrading the "HDMI In" function with firmware so that this very inexpensive device does the same job as other gizmos costing 10 time more.

Hi , Unfortunately Continues... The problems which still continuing on V.1.0.3.3 Release version : There are still some problems about subtitle selection issue. 1-) 'Turkey' option should be changed to 'Turkish'. 2-) That option sholud be stored in memory. This is a language prefer and it won't be changed by user often. It's so troublesome to select 'Turkey' option every watching. 3-) This one is the most important: Although the video file name and the subtitle file name are the same, player does not select the correct subtitle automatically. While watching TV series which contains so many subtitle files in folder, its so challenging. The movie should be start automatically with the subtitle which has the same name with the movie file. 4-) On the menu, selected file names sliding so slowly. Their slide speed should be increased. Its gonna be possible to read full file name more quickly with this change. 5-) Devices own media player does not support the '.sub' format subtitles. Isn't v1.0.3.3 , a Release version ? Why it was distributed as a normal firmware at support section ?
is it support passthrough dts hd and true hd in this firmware version? in the previous version, it can not do that on my zidoo x9
Dear software developers, your attempts to improve software providing neither of which is good is not reached,then you do not deceive the consumer and bring the firmware to specified characteristics, or simply adapt the firmware from another manufacturer on the same chip

In every message the major requests are the same: * Storing the settings on Subtitile-Encoding section in memory * Automatically running subtitles which have the same name with video file. Every time we want to watch a movie or Tv-Serie, we're doing this settings again and again. Why aren't you taking care of this problem? I can't convince my friends to buy Zidoo X9 anymore who thinks about to buy it at first. Even my old Media Player the Egreat M32B is still more useful than Zidoo X9, since it selects the subtitles automatically and stores the subtitle settings in memory. Is it really hard to fix them with your R&D group which you praise much ? Papirus
