In the newest internal builds there is NO Internet Radio app at all - it has been removed. I'd suggest that you start looking for other options like the Audials which seems the best app to use albeit with its own things to polish...
@mirror has said that these unreleased internal builds are for testing, and may have had some features removed for this purpose. I would wait to see what the next official release holds (promised in May, but it looks to be cutting it close) before looking for other options.
I remember this as well, but removing something that was already in a Beta state speaks a lot to me tbh. Honestly, I removed the .50 so long ago that I don't even remember what the Internet Radio looked like or if I liked it. I've tested so many radio apps and can't find one which has everything that I need. Let's hope that they bring it back and it is actually improved.
I am using DMP-A6 well. However, there is one inconvenience, so I hope it will be improved. When DMP-A6 boots, set the sample rate of USB to MAX. The MAX sample rate of my audio interface is 768 kHz, so it is set to 768 kHz. But in this case, the ADDA function of my audio interface does not work. Because the AES output only works up to 192 kHz. So I wish I could set the MAX sample rate of USB output. Thanks.
How is the USB sample rate (towards a DAC) related to the AES? You either use one, or the other, right?
If the internal clock of audio interfaces is set higher than 192 kHz, analog input cannot be sent to the AES output. So when I reboot A6, I play songs under 192 kHz once through USB to lower the internal clock.
AES is a DIGITAL interface, so it has its own clock to send data out from your ANALOG inputs, which are digitized at a rate of your choice, that is: you need to specify 192kHz (or lower, of course, depending on your needs). It has nothing to do with the USB interface, which is a DIGITAL input and converts your music (data) files using whatever rate they are saved.
The audio interface I use is the RME adi-2 pro. I hope it's like you said, but it doesn't work like that. My guess is that there is only one clock and every I/O shares that clock.
A Feature request : For the app.. please please, Please allow the app, for both ios & android, to be used also in portrait mode. I am not referring to the cast function, but in regular use. Feature Request 2 : Perhaps this is not technically feasible, however having Bluetooth TX in addition to RX would be a huge bonus, particularly since there is no headphone socket. thx Day 1 of DMP-A6ME
Re the Bluetooth, you can already do this. Just side load the settings apk, and you can access the menu to turn it on. It works a treat and can transmit LDAC to compatable headphones.
https://apkcombo.com/settings-shortcut/com.MirusApplications.settingsshortcut/ This is the one that I installed, initially posed by @DJpower
Re the portrait landscape thing, this is certainly possible for Android anyway, I don't use iOs. Just click on the double headed arrow top left of main app screen just to the immediate left of DMP-A6 text, this will show you the connected devices screen. Top right of this screen is a portrait landscape switcher icon, touch it and it will switch to the other choice. In portrait mode, the Cast will still reflect the basic orientation of the device screen I.e. landscape.
Hello! I suppose that we all have in our club albums by various artists or, simply, an album by an artist in which, on some song, another collaborates. In these files, in the metadata, I have as "Album Performer" the artist whose album it is, and then, in "Performer", which refers to a specific song, those who participate in that song. When transferring these files to Eversolo, only the data found in "Album Performer" appears. Could it be included in a future update that would also read the "Performer" data so that, when selecting a specific artist, as many of their albums as those in which they have participated appear? Thanks and greetings!
This is usually the ALBUM_ARTIST tag, while ARTIST can be repeated multiple times, and in your case one could contain the album artist (optional), and one more the guest artist.
I have all of my ripped CDs on an external 2 tB SSD, going into the USB OTG port of my Eversolo DMP6 After having done the rip, I have to look the album art up on the internet and place it in the flac files folder, naming it “folder”. I do not mind the other empty folder besides the FLAC files in my rip. Windows computer with Foobar is the machine. The iPad Pro easily shows it all, though the switch to another folder will sometimes stutter, when listening too long from one CD. Greetings to all.
If you use an external optical drive directly on your A6, then you can rip on the streamer itself. It will find the album art in most cases, but you may have to manually enter the artist name at ripping time. An alternative to your Windows Foobar ripping method for you to consider.
thank you for the nice suggestion, Jjb067. Will the ripping then place the FLAC filles on an external SSD ? Reading the many hiccups with accessing the internal NVME memory cards to be installed in the Eversolo, makes me want to wait to buy one. Also I would need to buy a very good external ripping CD drive with a non-crappy laser reading the CDs.
