MKV file could be anything. 1080p/4K, SDR, HDR10, DV? However I don't use a projector so wouldn't be able to help.

Thanks anyway. The file is H264 MPEG 4 AVC PART 10 1080P possibly just a bad file? Although this happens on 2 files.

Could be, especially if only a few files.

No, but I'll push on this as I think it's important.

In Music Player 8, with BD-A albums ripped to m4a, there is a track skipping problem. For example, if you attempt to play the full album or individual tracks, after track 1 ends, track 2 is skipped, and track 3 plays.

VU meter access while playing tracks is also inconsistently available or greyed out.

  8. Is this a specific movie or show? I am asking because I had issues with z9x pro having issues with mpeg 4, smh

I have had the zidoo z9x 8k for almost 2 weeks now. A few things that are not quite satisfactory but some of which might be solvable (in the future)?
    - I would like to have an option where films under genre movies are all separate from each other and no merged collections and when you open collections via genre that the movieseries are merged.
-Disable automatic scanning of certain source folders. Now it is either scan everything automatically or scan everything manually.
    - The v11 ir remote control comes standard and not the bluetooth with ir remote (v12). Bought the original bluetooth with ir remote but somehow the on/off button does not work. Seems like on and off is by ir because as soon as I open the door of the cabinet it works right away. Seems weird to me since most people buy a bluetooth remote to control a device behind a closed door.
    - On the android tablet (galaxy tab a9+) the posterwall in lanscape mode at one point does not load any further.
    - After some testing times I did a reset but not everything is nicely restored. The genres which you can select to click in the posterwall are listed twice in the settings. I have to check which of the two I should select. Because in one of them movies appear neatly and the other remains empty.

Especially the problem with the remote control I like to see solved otherwise I might return/sell the zidoo. Find it unacceptable to have to open the door every time to turn the player on and off. That's not what you buy a bluetooth remote for.

Hi I am experiencing the same issue. Trailers don't play after the latest firmware update. Always worked before.

All my trailers seems to be playing in 720p or lower resolution. Can this be looked at as on my Shield all trailers play in HD resolution.
    Thanks.

Been using the Z9X 8K for a couple weeks now, noticed a few things, not sure if this just me,
    1. The Poster wall occasionally fails show some posters on reboot. These are posters that were there before and didn't show on reboot. Had to reboot again to refresh.
    2. On one reboot, the the unit was stuck on HELLO, had to power off and on again.
    3. I see some stuttering while streaming from my QNAP NAS, not on all movies just one or two, not sure if this is just me
    4. I cant find a way to disable default subtitles showing in bluray movies. I did set it to off in the z9x settings, but still always shows the subtitle. I have manually set it to OFF each time.
    5. In some cases the poster wall doesn't find a match even though TMDB has the movie, and the ISO is named to match. "The man from u.n.c.l.e" is one example. I had to manually match.
    6. In some cases when trying to find manual match, the TMDB search from the UI doesn't show all matching movies unless the year is provided. This may be a TMDB thing though.

Just download them locally in Full HD (or even 4K) then.

I've also had this with one of my rips, where it played a 23 fps content at 59fps.

But, I am having issues with ALL content at 24.000384 fps, where it drops a frame every 20 seconds.
My old Z9X plays these with zero issues, but the Z9X 8K drops a frame for all these 24hz files.

Anyone else having this playback issue? I have Match Framerate turned on for both Z9X's.

It has annoyed me so much, that I've gone back to my older Z9X for the time being.

Could you upload a 5 minute sample to somewhere like mega? I think I may have this issue but would like to check someone else's file. Ta

I'll see what I can do later today. But its super easy to recreate, it'll skip a frame every 20 seconds or so on 24hz fps content.

Yup you can do that, coming from Shield and Emby trailers are mosty played in HD, it will just be great if Zidoo can do that as well.
