What additional functions would we like the Eversolo Dmp-A6 to have

Oh, it's interesting. I don't use any internet radio but I will try. Thx. But it's only AAC as I can see.

 

Even with the newest firmware update, Albums, Artists, and Tracks still do not have a dedicated register.
Could the developer make it so that if a single character is entered in the search field, it only matches names that start with that character?

Example:
"A" lists all albums starting with the letter "A" or "a"

It would be good if at least the text "The " would be skipped, so
"B" would list
"The Beatles", too.

Articles (a, an, the) will be skipped only if the appear at the very beginning of the text. So for "The The" the first The will be truncated, and the artist will be listed under "T"...

 

I would love a function to disable screensaver.

Also the theme with big letters i would like same option but with album cover. See added picture.

There are two updates to the DMP-A6 I'd like to see:

1. I also have a WIIM Pro in a second system, and WIIM have just rolled out a Room Correction update. Given the DMP-A6's EQ smarts, I would have thought that a logical progression of that would be for the DMP-A6 to also have room correction capability. To me, this would be the icing on the cake for the DMP-A6.

2. Secondly, I think it would be great if the display screen showed the file type being streamed (ie, FLAC, WAV, MP3 or whatever), when streaming via Roon. While the screen indicates that a PCM file is being streamed, I'd be grateful for that small additional bit of information on screen, when using Roon.

Other than that, I love the DMP-A6, it really is an awesome unit.

 

Hello! I suppose that we all have in our club albums by various artists or, simply, an album by an artist in which, on some song, another collaborates. In these files, in the metadata, I have as "Album Performer" the artist whose album it is, and then, in "Performer", which refers to a specific song, those who participate in that song. When transferring these files to Eversolo, only the data found in "Album Performer" appears. Could it be included in a future update that would also read the "Performer" data so that, when selecting a specific artist, as many of their albums as those in which they have participated appear? Thanks and greetings!

 

This is the ALBUM_ARTIST tag. Together with the ARTIST tags (they usually - in the various tagging systems - can appear multiple times) can contain the artist, and guest artists / collaborators.

 

Yes, that is correct. That way I have my files labeled. What I'm saying is that in Eversolo, only ALBUM_ARTIST tags appear. Therefore, if I enter an artist, EVERSOLO will show me the albums in which it is labeled as ALBUM_ARTIST, and I would like the albums in which it is labeled as ARTIST to also appear. I don't know if I explain myself.

I would buy the DMP-A6 in a heartbeat, if it could passthrough Atmos (Tidal and Amazon). And I would not need the integrated DAC btw. I hate to use a Fire Cube just for the Atmos music. Amazon has some good music in Atmos, although it´s very low volume for whatever reason. And I have some Atmos music on local drives. At the moment I play them with my Oppo. A device that could do all that stuff would be great.
I´d also like to be able to connect the DMP to a TV, although I would not use that option too often, probably.
Roland Krüger from Masimo already said that Marantz will release an Atmos capable HEOS streamer this year

 

Since 2 month I own a Eversolo DMP-A6 Master. Im realy almost happy but some features I missing like:


New features

- WEB browser for Windows or Windows App

- Shuffle Play for Tracks (whole bibliothek)

- Shuffle Play for Albums (whole bibliothek)

- Shuffle Play for Artists (whole bibliothek)

- Slider Artists or ABC until Z (not only until M)

- Always on the Top possibility to search (by Tracks/by Album/ by Artitst

- Possibility to slide or ABC in Albums (Slider or ABC by Albums like Artists)

- Wake on LAN

- Possibility of grouping within the albums, e.g. CD1 and CD2 in the same album.

- More display options for played music, e.g. track number, how many times was a track played or date of added to, last time played etc..

- Dynamic Playlist possibility e.g 80’s, 90’s, 00’ etc.. automaticly add the new tracks

- Menu/Playlist last imported Tracks

- Possibility to Export/Import the playlists like txt-File
