    Blenky, tested the file yesterday.
    During the scene where she order'ss a beaf meal, I went back a little bit and the sound stopped, only after I hit pauze and play the sound continued.
    Did a further 6 test and what ever I did the sound continued playing eventhouh rewinding en advancing the clip.

    Finally the forum is back! Wow guys! I upgraded my z3000 and now 4k DV movies no longer stutter when set to LED TV. With LED Passthrough TV there are only sporadic slight stutters. The new firmware also fixed the audio delay issue in VC-1 movies. Thanks Team Zidoo, you did a great job! :):);)

    Yes that's the bug. Happens sometimes and it's then repeatable or it just doesn't happen no matter what you try.

    I have a problem with turning off Zidoo uhd8000, most often it appears when I installed a disk inside the player or connected it via usb and from another computer download torrent files to it (disk on zidoo I share via smb), then Zidoo uhd8000 turns off about once a day. But there are also shutdowns that I do not connect with anything. I tried different firmware, including the latest firmware, everywhere it appears. Is it possible to download some logs from the player to send them to support to see what is wrong?

    Hi,

    The forum is back online. Great !

    With the latest firmware and the HT5, after a few days of use, only one image freeze (DV rip blu-ray mkv file from the NAS) and one black screen (HDR Oblivion ISO file from the internal hard drive) after a pause and a restart.

    Frankly, it's fine, compared with the previous firmware where the Zidoo became unusable with the HT5.

    A bug has appeared in the Plex app on the Zidoo. The episode playback sequence no longer works. Error message: "Unable to play". Strange, because I select the next episode and it plays normally.

    zero issues still with this firmware re the Pause/Continue bug ,and still no stutters or issues with DV content ,even after scroll back or fwd with jog "wheel"

    One thing i noticed ,is ,even with Custom EDID set ,i have had one instance where it changed EDID settings and played at 1080p/30 rather than my set 2160p/24
     
  11. Yesterday I had constant audio cuts with DV files.
    I had to make a manual setting to play them as HDR and there were no problems. After turning off the Z3000 pro I also removed the power cable.

    Today it's working great and no cuts in the sound on the DV files, on their original settings - playing as DV.
    This has happened to me other times (sometimes the cuts were with a black screen) just now I had to leave the Z3000 pro off & removed the power cable for longer a long time.

    So now that the forum is back, we can give these impressions on the latest patch!
    I am all in LLDV, except the SDR that I converted to HDR, the VS10 is not checked at all.............and for 3 days, stability has returned and for me if it lasts over time it will be perfect!!

    Welcome back Zidoo Forum after two days of blackout!!
    My experience of last three days of working:
    1) Bug remain: audio loss while pause/start randomly.
    2) Sudden stop of series episode. Need to wait like 1min to get remote response then restart HT5. Can’t reproduce it.
    3) Posterwall showed local drives collections only and NAS needed to repair by manual scan.

    I purchased the Z3000 Pro a few days ago and updated it to version 1.2.01. I can confirm that I'm also encountering the reported issue where the video freezes while the audio continues. It seems to happen randomly—for example, it occurred last night while watching Se7en well past the 100-minute mark. Rewinding to the affected timestamp and playing it again works fine the second time, but it's quite frustrating.

    As others have pointed out, this issue doesn't occur with the same content on older Zidoo models or other devices. I can't yet confirm if this issue is related to the file type (BDMV, ISO, or MKV) or the DV output (currently set to LLDV).

    I own both Dune and Zidoo devices, and while Dune doesn’t release updates very often, they have significantly improved compared to Zidoo. Both devices are primarily designed for playing video and audio, and if playback isn’t smooth, they’re essentially useless to me. I’ve noticed that Dune handles Dolby Vision and HDR playback exceptionally well, with Atmos and DTS surround effects being far more vivid than those on Zidoo. In contrast, Zidoo’s surround effects feel dim, though the main channel (front speakers) performs adequately. To this day, I haven’t achieved smooth playback with Zidoo. While I’m not a huge fan of Dune, I own several Zidoo devices but only one Dune Solo 8K.

    Watched some content over the weekend, issues remain with…
    • Playing video with lossy audio I often loose audio if I skip back or forward. Fix is to rewind back a few mins. Sometimes doesn’t work and have to rewind further back before audio returns. Does not happen on lossless audio
    • Still have audio sync issue on DTS audio.

    Not seen this since moved to new firmware. Have watched many hours of DV and zero freezes (and no stutter). Other issues remain.
