How can I do a factory reset and where to find the firmware to download?
I looked in the download section but couldn’t find anything for the new 8K devices.

Is there a way to “scrub” through the timeline that’s displayed when you press the OK button on the remote? I’m still trying to find the best way to get to specific points in a movie. While the chapter and time percent controls help I’d love an ability to quickly get to a specific part of the film.

On McBluna.net I could find only _G firmware.

Markswift2003 could you please help me with the hardware reset?
I tried the hardware reset wiping data and factory reset but, nothing happened. It’s still in the boot loop mode.
I guess, I have to update the device using USB stick but I couldn’t find the firmware to download for the 8K devices anywhere.

My device is in boot loop mode since 2 days.
    Thank you in advance.

For some reason this isn’t working for me. I can use the Zidoo app to scrub to a specific position in the file but using the arrow keys while the timeline is on screen doesn’t work.

Ah, ok, you can't scrub from pause, but while a video is playing, hit left or right and the timeline comes up, then you can scrub from there.

the wall stopped identifying posters and the search for films in the collection by actors does not work
TMDB also does not work, it works but only in the morning. It has not worked in the evening for 3 days already

No problems here - presumably an ISP issue, particularly given the morning/evening thing.

AFR does not work in SmartTube (25 fps shown as 30 or 60), in some online services (especially with automatic resolution change). It is necessary to add the ability to delay the activation of AFR (up to 5 seconds) in selected applications.

Some image files for my posters in PosterWall don't work on my Z9X. It just shows a blank spot where the image should be. I tested the image on my laptop and iPad and there is nothing wrong with the image. I also tried using a different hard drive to put my images on, and nothing worked. I will attach one of the images that are giving me trouble. @Markswift2003 if you test this file to see what the issue might be.

It's a png image - the posterwall uses jpg.

Attached is the same file converted to jpg.

Ok is this new that it does not support .png files? Cause they worked on the last 2 boxes. I haven't changed my image files in a long time. It's just a image file extension. You can change it manually in Files section of the Z9X. I don't see why a .png would not work. Anyways thanks I guess changing them manually isn't that bad.

Do I need to enter something in the router settings or what could be the solution?
I have never encountered anything like this. Thank you.

It's not new as far as I know, but I must admit I don't think I've ever tried pngs before.

It's not just a file extension, pngs are a completely different graphical format to jpg - just changing extension won't help, it'll still be a png (portable network graphics) file and not jpg (Joint Photographic experts Group). They need to be converted.

If you've got a lot to do there are plenty of utilities around to do - google batch image converter.

It depends what the problem is - whether it's the ISP simply doesn't have access to the domains at those times for whatever reason or whether it's simply a DNS issue and the ISP can't access the DNS to resolve the domains into IP addresses.

One way to figure out what's going on is to do a trace route from a PC.

In a DOS (command) prompt, for example if you're trying to figure out what's going on with tmdb.com you would type:

    tracert tmdb.com

This will firstly tell you whether DNS is working (because it should show the IP address of tmdb.com which is 185.107.56.202) and then if there's a bottleneck, you can see all the hops and see where the trace stops.

From here in the UK, it looks like this:

    Code:
    C:\Users\Marky>tracert tmdb.com

    Tracing route to tmdb.com [185.107.56.202]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

      1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1
      2 5 ms 5 ms 5 ms 2.127.238.242
      3 20 ms 20 ms 21 ms ip-89-200-132-201.ov.easynet.net [89.200.132.201]
      4 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms 2.120.14.11
      5 29 ms 42 ms 37 ms 185.107.116.5
      6 24 ms 24 ms 24 ms 185.107.56.202

    Trace complete.
If you find you don't get the IP address resolved in the first line, then try the IP address directly, ie:

tracert 185.107.56.202 which does the same job but just bypasses DNS:

    Code:
    C:\Users\Marky>tracert 185.107.56.202

Tracing route to 185.107.56.202 over a maximum of 30 hops

      1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms 192.168.0.1
      2 5 ms 5 ms 5 ms 2.127.238.242
      3 20 ms 21 ms 20 ms ip-89-200-132-201.ov.easynet.net [89.200.132.201]
      4 21 ms 21 ms 21 ms 2.120.14.11
      5 28 ms 28 ms 30 ms 185.107.116.6
      6 24 ms 24 ms 24 ms 185.107.56.202

    Trace complete.
If you want to see where each hop is, just copy the IP address into something like who.is.

    https://who.is/
