False ! As long as you are in a range of devices that are sufficiently performant and whose settings allow
    efficient calibration
, whether you are with a Panasonic, a Sony, or a Samsung, you will obtain an image that is perfectly
    up to standard !

The differences will be in the "visual identity" of the panel technologies used to display the image,
and certain post-processing circuits that are proprietary to each brand.

But when it comes to the parameters for standardizing the image through calibration, if the job is done well,
the result will have a precision that is almost identical to the measurements, and will be absolutely indistinguishable to the eye.

So no, a calibrated Panasonic is not more accurate than a calibrated Sony or a calibrated Samsung.
But... you have the right to prefer the way Panasonic renders the image.

In a previous post I wrote that the Panasonics are already calibrated Out of the Box, that is, straight out of the box, and are very close to the reference. While TVs from other brands are out of range right out of the box and need careful calibration. I have been working with certified calibrators for years and have seen many TVs.

Just received my Z9X 8K. Replaced my prev model controlled by Control4 with IP driver. Firmware was 1.1.47. All working fine once I set up the network.

I just upgraded the firmware to 1.1.60 and now Control4 does not work. This is despite no changes to the network settings including IP address. Is this a known issue? Anyone got any ideas?

Can't help with Control4 I'm afraid, but I just checked my Crestron IP module on v1.1.60 and that's working fine - obviously there's only one IP protocol so the C4 driver must use it too.

Hi. I bought a new Zidoo Z30 Pro and installed a brand new 8TB WD Red Plus HDD in it. Where can I format the drive in the Zidoo?

Oddly it is working now! I think it wasn't properly connected to the network. Something reset as I was using and it started working. Excellent

Please tell me why there is no factory firmware and rollback option? Will there be factory firmware in the future? Thank you

I'm doing some tests with and without HDCP enabled. When I turn it off I can't play HiRes from Tidal. Seems that this setting only has an effect on the music player.

It would also affect the video player if you played HDCP copy protected content, but since we're playing rips that doesn't apply. HDCP will affect anything that squirts out the HDMI port if the content provider has used it.

Leaving it on won't affect anything that's not protected.

On the old boxes it was due to hardware differences in different batches which had the unlikely possibility of bricking the box so it was disabled (although there was a trick to enable it).

On the new AML boxes, because of security issues with AML SOCs, firmware updates are differential, so rollback isn't possible without a full flash.

Whether a full rollback firmware will be released, I have no idea.

Should the "play/pause" button launch a video file in the file manager? It seems to me that it did before, but now for some unknown reason it has stopped. It only works when the movie is already running, then it can pause/continue. I hope you can understand me

Use the OK button to start video in file manager

    Hi,
    First time here.
I received my Zidoo Z9X 8K on Wednesday and it worked fine for 1 day. Yesterday, when I powered it on, it on the boot loop. The display on the device says boot and hello, and it repeats.
On the TV it just shows Zidoo Logo for sometime and again goes blank.
Tried unplugging the power waited for 30mins and connected it back, Same problem.

What else can be done? How to use hard reset (Restore) button on the device? If this is already discussed, could you please point me there.
    Thank you in advance.

USB is removed and HDMI is fully in, I can see the Zidoo Logo on the TV display. Still on Zidoo display, it just says Boot and Hello.

sounds like you need to do factory reset and then reload the 1-60 f/w
have seen a few ppl post some weird issue after their update ,and factory reeset ,fresh install of f/w fixed it ....are you using wifi or lan to connect box?

also ,a lot of us do a full power down 15 secs then restart, after new f/w ,just to get it "seated right (ie clear any capacitive charges holding old data)
