Hi all, I just installed the LPS upgrade from fyfaudio in my Z1000 Pro:

I appreciate the sceptical comments people have made re: upgrade to video quality with an LPS, but can also confirm that the picture seems better. I was after the upgrade only for the audio side of things; I connect the stereo outputs to my wife's karaoke mixer (and use HDMI audio for 99% of my normal video files) and was just after better audio quality for karaoke.

As you can see in the pics, I think I've been sold a second hand unit, there are scuff marks around the screw holes with multiple scratches on the metal work. The back-plate was bent, probably in shipping but who knows? There were no instructions and the layout of my unit didn't match what appeared on the website.

Anyhow, despite that installation was straightforward once I straightened out the back-plate and it's been a worthwhile upgrade for $108USD.

For those who are interested, if you've read about the Apple TV X, there is a long discussion on that youtube clip by their engineer, about how improved RF/EMI rejection can benefit signal quality in both the HDMI and ethernet side of digital circuits which has been measured and tested extensively.

I'm not an engineer and don't pretend to speak with any authority on this, but I am seeing an improvement that I wasn't expecting.

hi just did the install and to me it seems better in both audio and video not a night and day difference but better picture depth and soundstage. could also be im crazy and its the same lol but im happy with it

 

Yes your right its better and wen you install a fantom clock it wil be better the same

Good friends, I have a z2000pro and I was wondering if this upgrade is also valid for the 2000 pro? I'm about to order it after the good reviews I hear here!

 

I don't have the Z2000 Pro, but after reading about all the issues.....I'm more than happy to stick with my Z1000 pro......hope that helps.

 

I ask if this upgrade is compatible with the zidoo z2000pro because I am about to buy it.

Hello the power supply is the same but the fantom klok is not possible

But wen you whant a better picture and sound just buy the r volution playerone 8k it's much better then the zidoo

Thank you for your wise words but the rvolution costs me €800 in Spain and I paid €280 for the z2000pro and €130 for the upgrade! I don't need more image quality, if the sound improves a little I'll be satisfied!

I use a translator to contact you, can you explain better what you say in your response? I'm wondering if anyone knows how the FYFAUDIO company that sells the linear source modules for the zidoo z1000 pro works.

 

Hello guys I received the upgrade yesterday and I just installed it but I'm honest I haven't noticed any improvement at all...neither sound nor image and the truth is I envy anyone who can notice differences...by the way the stamby light stays white as as standard or should it light up blue? I say this in case it is not assembled correctly.
